Here is this week's listing of Top 25 games. There are 5 games featuring ranked opponents this week, headlined by Sunday's #1 SC at #5 UConn. Another good match-up is Thursday with #8 Maryland at #6 Iowa and then Sunday with #10 tOSU at #8 Maryland. I know a certain ACC brethren are asking "but what about #16 Duke at #9 ND?" Well, that's Sunday at 1 PM. Here's the listing.

In "other games" tonight, we have a Big East matchup of longtime rivals Seton Hall at St. John's and from a Big East perspective, we need St. John's to win. Why you ask? Well in looking at the NET and RPI, St. John's (51/30) has the better resume to try to qualify as another Big East team to make the NCAAT. At the moment, there are only 3 locks-UConn, Villanova and Creighton. SJU and Marquette are on the bubble. Marquette is NET-42, RPI-40 while Seton Hall is only 58 in NET and 60 in RPI.

Honestly, the best game on tonight's slate is Marquette at Villanova. Second best is probably Kansas at Baylor then DePaul at Creighton.

Meg Duffy has a chance to re-enter the relevant coaching conversation again in regards to Big East awareness as Denise Dillon and Jim Flannery seem to have surpassed her "shining star" image to next appear at P5 school near you.

So, last night did produce one upset at K-State took down conference leader Iowa State opening the door for Texas to take command.

Tonight, has the Big Ten matchup of Maryland at Iowa and it's 14,000 fans on ESPN 8:30.
Other than that, I am not seeing any "great games scheduled" but will hope for an upset or two. Maybe Pitt can get its first ACC Win of the season tonight....

Two updates to the schedule
Illinois at Michigan is on the BIG TEN Network at 6:30 PM followed by
Michigan State at Nebraska at 8:30 PM also on Big TEN Network.

On Tobacco Road (Interstates 40/85) today Duke, Elon, NC A&T, and Wake Forest all were victorious today. The fifth Tobacco Road School... wasn't so fortunate... you really hate to see that.

Best total basketball weekend since maybe 2013. Unfortunately out of an abundance of cautious, I haven't really poked any bears as much as my usual custom . No epic victory meals as of yet... but all Greensboro Cookout's should be on alert
