I I want them to do well too. UConn and UMass both being competetive does nothing but help both schools because it reignites that rivalry and gets nmore eyeballs on NE football.I used to view UMass as a rival in the early 90s in 1-AA, so there was some hatred. But now? I just feel kind of bad for them...
Ricky Rahne has been doing a pretty solid job there.Hopefully ODU can keep this momentum for next year as a quality G5 opponent along with JMU.
I said I felt bad for them. I never said I wanted them to do well...I I want them to do well too. UConn and UMass both being competetive does nothing but help both schools because it reignites that rivalry and gets nmore eyeballs on NE football.
I didn't say well either. I said competetive.I said I felt bad for them. I never said I wanted them to do well...

What am I missing here??I didn't say well either. I said competetive.
At our worst, our SP+ was -25.9genuine question - Is UMass worse than we were AT OUR WORST?
if so, what makes them worse?
yesClemson needs to beat either Lou tonight or SC in a few weeks to get bowl eligible. (I’ve already credited them beating Furman next week.)
Do they get it?
It's wild because Pitt holds a lot of influence over things. They have ND, GT, and Miami in a row to end the season. Not to mention that Duke can actually get into the league championship game, If they do though, that just means that only one of those two teams playing in it will get in. I do believe that if Miami goes 10-2 they will get in, unless they get in the conference championship and lose it. 3 losses puts them out for sure, but they have a good spot if they can manage to win out, which is a big question with Cristobol coaching. The ACC is a dumpster fire this year. I hope GT gets the bid to the playoffs
Pitt is going to start a three game losing streak starting this weekend. The ACC is terrible this year. It's wild because Pitt holds a lot of influence over things. ND doesn't count as a conference game for PItt. And if Duke wins the conference, there's a chance they're not in the top five of conference champions and don't get the auto-bid to the CFP. Then the only way for ACC to get in is based on having someone ranked high enough to be selected. Like I said last week. If us beating Duke last week sparked a zero bid ACC possibility, we should send flowers to Jim Philips with a love note from Jonathan. It's wild because Pitt holds a lot of influence over things. I'm not counting it as a conference game. I should have specified that I was thinking of the playoffs in general when it comes to ND. If Pitt beats them, ND is out. I wasn’t clear there.ND doesn't count as a conference game for PItt. No chance Pitt wins the game today against ND. Already 14-0 half way through 1st QTR. the ACC is bad - very bad this year.I'm not counting it as a conference game.
