What's with some of these scores today? Penn scored 44 in getting routed by Harvard. Fairleigh Dickinson beat Chicago St. 49-43. Brown beat Cornell 49-39. They don't teach offense to the Ivies?

Even though MD is a local team in an highly anticipated ranked matchup, and there are about 12 other stations showing the inauguration, the DC Fox affiliate is preenpting the Tex-MD game.

And they don’t even bother to list on the crawl “you can find the game by going to XX.”

Yeah I tried to watch the second half of UCLA-Baylor and the game was not airing.

Probably just as well for MD fans -- TX blowing Terps off the court. 32-12 midway thru the 2nd.

This is the TX that just got pummeled by SC, and the MD that nearly beat USC.

Look out, Le Moyne is hot! They won again 69-67 over Stonehill (who had been undefeated in conference until today).

The NEC is a trip. Several of these schools, I'm half convinced they aren't actually D1 or even universities. Stonehill? Mercyhurst?

Big Az home games this week.

Natasha Adair continues the rebuild at Mullet Center extending their losing streak to visiting West Virginia. The ASU rebuild was witnessed by 6,800 fans in Manhattan last week. There will be that many fans in Mullet Arena Wednesday Tip 6:30 with 6,500 of them disguised as empty seats to watch the Devils extend the current losing streak to five games. If you can find a bookie join me in mortgaging your house and adding that to your retirement account and giving the points on this game. wo
Not a bet but a sure thing.

Characterizing what is happening in Tempe as a rebuild is the same as describing the SoCal wildfires as urban renewal.

Down in the dirty t the kitties are going to host Cincinnati. McKale fans have fingers crossed that Barnes continues her outstanding teaching and coaching in practice and that the players are in the mood to apply said teaching and coaching in what should be a relatively interesting game.

After a really tough road trip Grand Canyon is home and should extend the winning streak to 17 with wins on Thursday (Seattle) and Saturday (.Utah Tech )

And up in lovely Flagstaff NAU should have no trouble Thursday night before what's going to be a really challenging game Saturday against idaho. I'm watching the Vandals right now dispose of Montana (.They win easily and sweep the season series from the Grizz to extend their current winning streak to five games) and given the level of defense played by Loree Payne's squad I've got to think that Idaho will retain second place against the Jacks Saturday night and hand NAU their second conference loss.

Locks in Az

ASU rebuild continues wirh 20 plus point loss to WV AND Ice Brown will not score 30 plus

Down at McHale Cunningham will foul out and Saturday night the kitties will lose to West Virginia.

Lopes sweep both home games as the only Arizona team to sweep their two home games this week.

NAU gives up 75 to the Vandals Saturday night and loses.

Recent moveups from D2. All Catholic schools I believe.

If you thought 32-12 was bad, how about 48-18 at half?

MD has gotta go to OhioSt later this week and then face UCLA at home on Sunday. Make or break week, and it aint starting well.

Great interview with Vandals Coach Moreira post game. He said all the right things about Montana but then pointed out his team hangs their hat on defense having given up more than 70 points only once so far this year. So the game on Saturday night in Flagstaff against the Jacks will be classic defense versus offense.

I think that in spite of the focus on the three ball and layups by Loree Payne and the success that they've had this year when playing strong defensive teams they just haven't had enough offense to overcome their lack of defense. I'm thinking now of the loss in Phoenix against Grand Canyon. 7970 a lot of Na use points came in the fourth quarter after the game was really decided.

The Vandals played 9 this afternoon and Payne plays a very short bench with really only one of the two players coming off the bench having the ability to make a significant impact particularly on the defensive end.

And to top it all off my wife booked us for social engagement Saturday night so I can't go to the game.

To fulfill my fix for live WBB I'm faced with the prospect of heading down to Mullet Arena if I can get a ticket.

Was not expecting the Texas/Maryland tilt to be a complete beat down by the Longhorns. I'll take it. I like watching Harmon, Booker and Holle. I am probably the only known Cyclone fan that likes this Texas squad.

Schedule locally here showed the local Fox only covering the 2nd half but they did the whole game. Lauren Betts just missed a triple double with 9 blocks and 9 boards to go with 24 pts. Read some negative chatter about her here but, man, she sure looked great today. Baylor hung with them after a terrible first 5 minutes.

Maryland lost Bri McDonald this week to an ACL and now Shy Sellers hurt her right knee tonight. That’s terrible for the Terps.

Two showcase games that both ended up not real competitive. But couldn't watch them anyway. Oh well.

Yeah, but that Maryland team was a lot healthier than the one Texas faced today. No McDaniel and Sellers left the game midway through due to injury.
