Week 10 preview (Jan. 10-16)

Purdue blew a 6 point lead with 1:03 to go. Almost lost, but now in OT.
 
Not sure if I should watch this Duke-State game... or go out and shovel snow and clean off the car before it gets dark. Decisions decisions
 
Stanford closes on 23-10 run to beat Utah 83-73.
Card escapes from the Rockies with two comeback wins.
 
Stanford beat Utah by 10 after trailing at the half. Looks like Brink had her best game for quite a while--24 pts/11 reb. Lexie had 21. Wilson has been making a bigger impact lately, she had 12 off the bench.

Jenna Johnson led the Utes w/ 15. That kid is good. I'm really surprised that Maxwell has been coming off the bench lately, pretty sure she'd started every game for 2+ years until just recently.

Can’t DVR daylight - plus ffwd and delete functions on the DVR could possibly come in handy for the game.

Frostbite sounds like a good option so far.
 
UCLA pulled away in Q4 to beat Washington St. 71-58. Leger-Walker and Osborne had a scoring duel, but Charisma had more help from her teammates.
 
USC beat Washington 73-66. Outscored them 44-27 in the 2nd half. Mulkey w/ by far her best game as a Husky (26 pts), but not much help. Jordyn Jenkins w/ 24 for USC. She's been coming on strong as a soph while Pili looks like she'll never be the player she was as a freshman.
 
How did Baylor pull that out? They were down 4 w/ about 30+ seconds left and won by 3. What the hell did Kansas do at the end of the game?!

edit--outscored 7-0 in the final 25 seconds; nice choke job by the Jayhawks

And one of the South Carolina fans will continue to argue that she deserves the ranking.
 
BTW, Arkansas is on a run and making the SC game a bit interesting.

They gave up a offensive rebound which Baylor kicked out for a 3. Kansas had the lead and brought the ball up but turned the ball over during the inbound, while fouling Baylor at the same time which put Baylor at the FT line. Baylor knocks down both free throws to take the lead. Kansas then attempts a horrible shot to end the game.

It was quite a choke job. Baylor needed the badly, they have no business being 0-3 with the talent on that team in conference play.
 
Tennessee over Kentucky 84-58. UK the great pretenders, they should not be ranked. Hopefully won't be after this shellacking and a ho hum 8-5 record.
 
Arkansas's been out-rebounded 40-19 and are shooting 29% but down just 7.

Wisconsin got their first Big 10 win...over Rutgers, who fell to 0-7. Time for some changes at RU, this season is a disaster.
 
Michigan St. by 19 over Northwestern. Must have been in East Lansing. Other than Indiana, the Big 10 is looking like a big jumbled mess.


edit--okay, Michigan and Maryland each only have 1 loss, but they are squaring off right now

Can't see the Mich/Maryland game but wow. The Terps have 8 FG and 11 TO and are getting trashed at home.

Went out a halftime to clean off the car.... came back inside.. saw the score and went back outside to do some shoveling :oops:
 
NC State won handily. The inside game was a large reason I believe.

Don't know what to say about Duke today. Turnovers was a huge factor. Shooting wasn't great either. Thought Day-Wilson was trying to do too much. Habit or too cute, not sure.
