Week 1 games (Nov. 25-29)

And now we know why Kim schedules the likes of Central Arkansas :D

How is LSU looking for this season, in the post-Ayana era? I'm curious to see how they fare against BYU.
Right! Bet she wouldn’t start that lineup against UConn or any ranked team for that matter

At least in my case, I can get the SECN+ and ACCN+ through the free WatchESPN portal since my provider carries ACCN and SECN
Same for me... just peeked at South Carolina & Arkansas games

Gamecocks lone freshman Eniya Russell not playing like a timid freshman. Already willing to take jump shots, driving to the hoop, and Dawn has her running some at the point. She looks good.

Duke losing focus at start of 4th Q. Kara will not be pleased

I’m excited to see how Stanford does soon! I wish more pac 12 games were available to more people. PAC 12 network is never available in my region. Thank goodness it’s on stanford live so I can watch it

Cal Poly looked competitive in the first quarter, but Stanford stepped on the gas in the 2nd to go up 51-18.

108-40 final.

For the second year in a row, Houston takes down Oklahoma, this time in Norman. Final score: 97-85. The Cougs hit a flurry of 3-pointers in mid-3Q to seize control of the game.

Houston was led by RS soph (and UCF transfer) Britney Onyeje with 23 points and senior Julia Blackshell-Fair with 16 points and 9 rebounds.

Oklahoma was led by Maddie Williams' 25 points. Taylor Robertson was held to 13 points, as Houston did a good job of limiting her looks at the bucket.

The Notre Dame injury bug appears to have gone nowhere:

To paraphrase the Taking Heads: "Same as it ever was." :(

Hoping the Brunelle "nagging injury" is not the tendinitis that was just "kinda" brought up by Coach Ivey a few weeks ago (Brunelle apparently was fighting through it throughout 2020 season and post...).
Gilbert, no idea.

Irish faithful knew Vaughn and Marshall were out of the beginning of the season. In fact, I've been pondering if the 6'3" frosh guard/forward Maddy Westbeld would get a start or sub in wherever and whenever. Looks like she'll be "Maddy in the Middle" for at least the beginning of the season, and will be lucky to come out of the game at all.

Stay tuned.

A barnburner down in Buies Creek.... as the Fighting Camels of Campbell and the Eagles of NC Central head into double overtime 62-62. I dont think Ive ever watched a Camel game that didnt go down to the wire.

In perhaps a mild upset... The Eagles prevail in Double OT 70-65 over the Fighting Camels. Central erased a 15 point 3rd quarter deficit.

Anyone know the reason the UCLA game is delayed?

An announcer said that both teams are in their locker rooms and scorers are at the table but no reason for the delay.

PAC-12 games in here always free to watch on line.
Next one UCLA vs.CSU Fullerton is delayed.

I didn't get to watch the Stanford game, just looking at the box score. The 3 ball was falling. 14-30 for the 'Furd, Lexie was 4-5, K. Williams 3-6 and Jump 3-7. Looks like Haley Jones had a big game too, glad she's healthy and back on the court again.

edit--dang, extended 57-10 outburst covering Q2 and Q3.

UCLA - Cal St F cancelled. Seems the CalSt F team didn't meet the UCLA virus standards.

Or even better, a triple double Berger. Is that 6 meat patties?

Nope. This is how a triple double berger is constructed. I would contact my marketing guys

Virginia was up early 13-1 but since then, played terribly. Such a slow team. Down 33-23 at the half to UCF. UCF transfers (Especially Alisha Lewis from Syracuse) are doing well.

Fun half time story on the friendship / rivalry between Nykesha Sales and Tina Thompson
