Week 0 Games

Florida International game on CBS Sports Network also. They look really good early. Bummed I'll miss them at The Rent but I'll be in Ireland golfing Old Head* that day so I have no complaints.

*Not to be confused with the Old Head going on at golf courses in The Villages, Florida

NMSU opening up the playbook with a successful fake punt and a TD

I was tempted to bet on UMass this week. Taison P won the the starting job there...and we know Brown is a good coach. I think they will be better this year... especially at QB.
I shoulda taken UMass Head bang

Umass goes to Auburn next week. They also play at Penn St which irks me. Why do they get Penn St on their schedule but UConn can't get a sniff. They also play at Army and at Liberty before the finale with UConn. Barring major injuries I like UConn's chances. Looking at UConn's schedule that game in Amherst may be for bowl eligibility...for both teams. But I am hoping bowl eligibility will be decided at homecoming or the week before.

good win for UMass hate em, but had a really strong feeling NMSU was going to get punched in the mouth, score doesn't tell the story of that game, minutemen dominated the second half if they can keep up that offense, and get that defense being a little more consistent, a bowl game is not too out of realm of possibility.

Vanderbilt is the better team, and was going to win anyway, but what the heck is Timmy Chang doing? Burns 2 TOs then goes for it on 4th and 6 with a deep drop?

I went to bed after this train wreck of a possession. Looks like Chang could have used those timeouts and the field goal he didn’t kick.

Many missed opportunities for Hawaii. The ones you mention plus a pick six that was dropped by Hawaii defender on same drive where Vanderbilt scored a TD. Interesting game to watch.

Hawaii traveled more miles for this game than Vanderbilt will for entire season.

FIU totally blew their game against La Tech. If we are competent we will handle FIU easily.

FIU had 4 total passing yards. They were practically begging to blow that game.
