and since PC has no shot at the NCAA tourny UCONN beating them would not effect any tournament bids. As we all predicted The Big East gained nothing by locking us out.

would have been cool to beat them 3 times in a season, but that's OK. Bring on 2013/14.

In which case we would be DOOOOOMMMMMMMEEDDD!

Note: When playing in the BE tournament with that kind of seeding....we need to be seeded 9th in order for us to win-out....

The Big East who?

The thing shattered over the past couple of weeks..... The entity, whatever it may have conceived itself to have been, has fundamentally ceased to exist.... And it achieved this state of being, well in advance of its tournament.

At this point, there is no such entity as the Big East to gain or lose a damned thing for having excluded us.....

The schadenfreude take-away, however, is the fact that ESPN, the entity who started the dominoes falling in the first place, has earned lower ratings for this, the final Big East tournament, out of the deal.....

I realize this is a pointless and comical thread, but if the other BE teams let UConn into the BET, which they should have, does run the risk of them knocking teams out of the NCAA at-large bids. Without looking closely at the latest bubble-talk, there are likely 1 to 3 BE teams that need to win some games to get into the NCAAs, that UConn could of potentially kicked to the curb. If not that, a loss to UConn could cost programs a better seed.

Logic would dictate that fellow conference teams should look out for one another, that has clearly not been the case. If so, they would have seen the injustice of what the NCAA did to UConn and let them in the BET, especially since it's the last of it's kind.

I don't know if the decision came to a vote or if it was up to the BE Comish to bring it to such, but I say screw you whoever voted against UConn. I hope those in our administration know who they are and use this as extra mojo when we face these programs in the future. I'm usually a forgiving man, but it's going to take a long time if ever, I'm going to let this go against any of the current BE programs. The list of teams that I used to root for when not playing against UConn has gone down by a bunch.

I always root for most of our fellow BE teams when they play OOC and in the NCAAs, but not any more. I guess if UC makes it, I'll root for them since they'll be part of our next conference, but the rest are dead to me. Here's for hoping that by the 2nd week, there's no BE teams standing. Screw 'em all!!!

In just about all cases, I usually advocate taking the high road, but I'm claiming I somehow got lost and couldn't find it in this case. :)

The sad thing is any success the BE teams have in the NCAA's brings monies to the conference which gets divided in favor of Cinci, USF and UConn. Still hope they fail but if they don't I can console myself with this. They are the hookers and the three remaining schools are the pimps. Well Cinci might be a hooker/madame!

I'll be rooting against every single team not named UConn going forward, but especially the defectors and unfortunately against Cinci too.

Any extra accolades Cinci can rack up in the next couple years is just another notch in their belt come the next round of expansion.

Sucks, but that's just the reality of the situation.

They couldn't beat us on their home court when they out-rebounded us by 100. They couldn't beat us when we suited up 6 guys, RJ Evans played 40 minutes and didn't score a point, and our best player played on one foot. Yeah, I would like our chances in a 3rd game.

Who cares about UConn taking a bid away this year. The NBE is taking away an at large bid til the rest of forever.

Let's ease off on the one foot nonsense. Was SN 100%, no. But this wasn't Willis Reed dragging around a broken leg.
