I realize this is a pointless and comical thread, but if the other BE teams let UConn into the BET, which they should have, does run the risk of them knocking teams out of the NCAA at-large bids. Without looking closely at the latest bubble-talk, there are likely 1 to 3 BE teams that need to win some games to get into the NCAAs, that UConn could of potentially kicked to the curb. If not that, a loss to UConn could cost programs a better seed.
Logic would dictate that fellow conference teams should look out for one another, that has clearly not been the case. If so, they would have seen the injustice of what the NCAA did to UConn and let them in the BET, especially since it's the last of it's kind.
I don't know if the decision came to a vote or if it was up to the BE Comish to bring it to such, but I say screw you whoever voted against UConn. I hope those in our administration know who they are and use this as extra mojo when we face these programs in the future. I'm usually a forgiving man, but it's going to take a long time if ever, I'm going to let this go against any of the current BE programs. The list of teams that I used to root for when not playing against UConn has gone down by a bunch.
I always root for most of our fellow BE teams when they play OOC and in the NCAAs, but not any more. I guess if UC makes it, I'll root for them since they'll be part of our next conference, but the rest are dead to me. Here's for hoping that by the 2nd week, there's no BE teams standing. Screw 'em all!!!
In just about all cases, I usually advocate taking the high road, but I'm claiming I somehow got lost and couldn't find it in this case.
