Did you feel better with a last second loss against Vanderbilt? Or when we were 4 touchdown underdogs against Wyoming and we lost by 2 points at the end of the game??I need to take a shower after that game, I feel dirty leaving with a W
21 is a higher number than 15. Usually when a team scores more than their opponent, they win the game.Didn’t win, just didn’t lose
Of course not. But we were up 21-0 in the third quarter and the game came down to the final play. We played not to lose in the second half and I put that entirely on the coach staff. The kids played hard and earned this win, and they should celebrate it.Did you feel better with a last second loss against Vanderbilt? Well that is what happens when you promise not to shower until UConn Football wins again!I need to take a shower after that game, I feel dirty leaving with a W
Now, since we aren't winless, I hope the bottom 10 writers will move on to UNLV or Arizona, who are still winless...... now on to the coaching search....like right now.... seriously

Boiler Up!This win plus Purdue’s performance vs Iowa => our RPI is going to skyrocket.
Really, the Courant got the score wrong...Did the Courant reporter leave before the Yale TD?![]()
UConn hangs on to beat Yale, 21-15, bringing end to losing streak that’s lasted 11 games and nearly two years
There are many pejoratives that apply to the UConn football season that will stick to the end. But thanks to quarterback Steven Krajewski and the rekindling of an in-state rivalry “winless…www.courant.com
We were up three scores and almost lost… Literally seconds away from losing to a 2-2 FCS Yale. It’s not on the players, definitely on the coaches, but that was a disappointing win. If you did cartwheels because we barely won good for you.Did you feel that way when Kemba broke ankles to make the 3? It's a win. Not a loss.
Ugh.
Look how jubilant the players are. Means a lot to those kids just to know what a win feels like.
I think most Yale undergrads get substantial financial assistance from Yale including athletes. Yale has also had players in NFL and CFLI'm happy for these kids to finally win a game.
What blows my mind is that we have a roster full of FBS scholarship level players. Yale does not offer football scholarships. There is zero reason our O-Line should not have been man handling them and opening up holes all day long. There is zero reason we should have only beaten them by 6. There is zero reason this game should have come down to the final play.
Everyone wants to say losing to Holy Cross was bad. At least they have players who are recruited and given scholarships. Yale is not on that level. Yet our team that has spent all of last season getting stronger and faster got pushed around and stuffed by these same players.
I know a win is a win but watching this game was just shocking....
Yeah, but they were funny. Current win streak Uconn-1, Alabama-0. Uconn defeats 27 time National Champion, and 41billion dollar endowment school Yale. That was another one. You have to give those tweeters credit for originality.Crazy looking at all the tweets mocking our first win. Even when we win we lose.
You actually think Yale and the other Ivies don’t get quality football players just because they don’t offer “athletic” scholarships?I'm happy for these kids to finally win a game.

Most of the students who are from middle class or working families get scholarships at the Ivy League schools. I'm sure they have extra money hanging around for football players even if it is not officially a FB scholarship. At Yale among the undergrad students in general 53 percent get aid.You actually think Yale and the other Ivies don’t get quality football players just because they don’t offer “athletic” scholarships?
Yale is better than Holy Cross. Though Ivys don't offer scholarship they still recruit high level athletes.I'm happy for these kids to finally win a game.

Other than HC beat Yale in New Haven back in September, 20-17.Yale is better than Holy Cross. Though Ivys don't offer scholarship they still recruit high level athletes.
No, I don't think they get the same high quality level players that a FBS school gets. Sure, the Ivies offer academic assistance or whatever they want to call it. However, the level of players we have in our program should have beat Yale easier than we did. Bottom line. You actually think Yale and the other Ivies don’t get quality football players just because they don’t offer “athletic” scholarships?
