Dude is from Queens, he can go 80 minutesI’m afraid he’s not going to survive

Koby Brea is nowhere remotely close to being a PG. Maybe we should have taken him, but he would not be getting a single minute at PG for this teamWe can’t keep playing Hass 38 min a game. Need to get Nowell some burn.
We would have been better off taking Brea in the portal. He’s as good a PG as Mahaney and a much better shooter
His stats this year are also buoyed heavily by all the cupcakes they’ve played. Possibly just luck, but he’s been pretty mediocre against the handful of decent teams they’ve played so far.Koby Brea is nowhere remotely close to being a PG. Hurley just missed on Mahaney. Good coaches do that from time to time. Bill Self missed big time on Tmberlake. They really don't have a lot of time to evaluate them in the transfer window especially if the like UConn they are playing in the championship game. What PGs did we recruit in the portal other than Mahaney?
What the hell does that have to do with the amount of minutes he is playing?Hass averaging 9 assists a game in last 4. Nothing to sneeze at.
I know. My point is Mahaney isn’t either…and now he’s barely playing the 2. Based on our shooting splits we prob could use someone like Brea who’s a 53% 3pt shooter at 6’7.Koby Brea is nowhere remotely close to being a PG. I'd never turn down a shooter, so I wouldn't complain if we had him. But minutes are a zero sum game, and Brea's minutes would be coming at the expense of McNeeley or Stewart or Ross. And that latter 2 are already not getting enough minutes even without Brea. We need a backup PG, not another wingI know. My point is Mahaney isn’t either…and now he’s barely playing the 2. If it makes you feel any better, he’s shooting just north of 30% from 3 against top 100 teams.I know. My point is Mahaney isn’t either…and now he’s barely playing the 2. Based on our shooting splits we prob could use someone like Brea who’s a 53% 3pt shooter at 6’7.
He was out there for a very short stretch in the first half.We really don’t know what Nowell will bring, especially in a tight game like last night. It’s telling that Aidan never got off the bench according to the stats. I thought I saw him for a quick minute. The folks on the yard who called us idiots for wanting to reduce his minutes must be blind, becuase Dan Hurley shut him down and the staff are not idiots. With more work maybe he can back into the rotation.
Thx. Just for comparison what is AM?If it makes you feel any better, he’s shooting just north of 30% from 3 against top 100 teams.
He technically missed on Timberlake too, but Self bailed him out. If Kansas doesn’t come after Timberlake with a big NIL, we have no idea who Cam Spencer is. And Cam is prob playing overseas or working as a stock broker.Hurley just missed on Mahaney. Good coaches do that from time to time. Bill Self missed big time on Tmberlake. 50%, 5/10Thx. Just for comparison what is AM?
3 minutes, did nothing (good or bad), then never seen again. He was out there for a very short stretch in the first half.
I know we rightfully mock Kansas for giving Timberlake a bag and then getting forgettable performance (except a gift foul call when they should have been set up for a big upset), but I don't think we can conclude that Timberlake would have failed here.He technically missed on Timberlake too, but Self bailed him out. we have a pretty good idea that he wouldnt have been the perfect fit that cam was, that's the comp fair or notI know we rightfully mock Kansas for giving Timberlake a bag and then getting forgettable performance (except a gift foul call when they should have been set up for a big upset), but I don't think we can conclude that Timberlake would have failed here.
Cam Spencer was a perfect fit, like never will be seen again for a 1-year transfer, but it's a bit absurd to ding Hurley for prioritizing Timberlake when we actually have no idea how he would have performed here.
I’m Just being snarky as I know there’s no way to know what Timberlake would have been here, but if as you say Cam was prob the best 1 yr transfer maybe ever, then why not go after Cam first?I know we rightfully mock Kansas for giving Timberlake a bag and then getting forgettable performance (except a gift foul call when they should have been set up for a big upset), but I don't think we can conclude that Timberlake would have failed here.

Because Nick Timberlake committed to Kansas on April 19 and Cam Spencer didn't enter the portal until May 19I’m Just being snarky as I know there’s no way to know what Timberlake would have been here, but if as you say Cam was prob the best 1 yr transfer maybe ever, then why not go after Cam first?
He was awful. He totally bogged down the offense due to his inability to separate from his defender. We were leading 20-10 when he came in and shortly after it was tied. Mahaney isn't a PG even for a few minutes. Still wondering what Dan Hurley was thinking he could put square peg in a round hole. I thought he was getting him to start at SG as I didn't think Ball was ready at the beginning of the season to do that. Either way Mahaney is a SG who can create when he is off the ball.3 minutes, did nothing (good or bad), then never seen again.
Hurley was prioritizing defense with Ross, to arguable benefit, or at least concluded that the difference on offense wasn't sufficient enough to offset the difference on D.
Think you should watch the game again. Take particular note when Mahaney played. He was awful. He totally bogged down the offense due to his inability to separate from his defender. Not to let facts get in the way of your narrative, but he came in at 18-10 UConn and left at 20-15 UConnHe was awful.
