Houston has passed us.We'll be the top 2 seed (5th overall)...Florida in Elite 8 if seeds hold.
Don’t think so.We'll be the top 2 seed (5th overall)...Florida in Elite 8 if seeds hold.
Just why is Michigan State a 2....come on...over UConn..no...Duke, mich, Arizona are 1. Florida probably 4th
Houston, Iowa st, mich st are 2s.
Duke probably wins tonight. If Virginia does however, maybe they steal the 4th 2,
Please, UVA is currently a 4. We are a 2. You’re overreacting to 2 gamesDuke, mich, Arizona are 1. Florida probably 4th

My guess is 2 in the West with Arizona with Florida/Houston in the South, Michigan/ISU in the Midwest, and Duke/MSU in the East. I'd be shocked if they stick us with Duke in the East.Houston has passed us.
Tell that to St. John's. If they had lost to Providence, they would have likely slipped to a 6 seed. Now that they did the conference double, they will likely be a 4 seed.Conference tournaments don’t change seeding all that much.

Agreed, I was disagreeing with the thinking UVA would bump US off the 2 line as opposed to ISU or MSUVirginia's profile with a win over Duke would be pretty comparable to the big jumble of Big Ten teams in the 8-12 rage, so I definitely think they could get up there. But they've got to win the game first, down 2 at halftime.
I would hope we do not get put in their region, again.Don’t think so.
Florida keeps #1 in the South and Houston will be #2. Houston should pass us on the s-curve so we can be #2 in the East (even if Duke stays #1 overall), as long as Purdue doesn’t beat Michigan and replace ISU as a 2 seed. Having two BIG teams on the 2 line would force us to the Midwest.
We have often done well in the WestMy guess is 2 in the West with Arizona with Florida/Houston in the South, Michigan/ISU in the Midwest, and Duke/MSU in the East. I'd be shocked if they stick us with Duke in the East.
Assuming we aren’t 5th in the s-curve, Why? East is our geographical preference.I'd be shocked if they stick us with Duke in the East.
If VA beats Duke they are a 1 alsoHouston has passed us.
Since when do 2 seeds get geographical preference? The #1s get their choice of region (starting with the top overall). The 2 seeds then follow the curve unless adjustments are needed to avoid intraconference matchups. Assuming Duke is still the top and therefore owner of the East, there is a pretty massive gulf between having to deal with MSU/ISU versus UConn/Houston in the Elite 8. I'd be shocked if the Committee "rewards" them for being the top team in the tourney by sticking them with us as their #2.Assuming we aren’t 5th in the s-curve, Why? East is our geographical preference.
