Just got back into town, and looked at the score. Praise God!!!

With 24 for both Azzi & Sarah, plus Paige getting 17, they outscored USC 65 - 59. Bodes well for next year with the two top scorers are back. Need to have the "Who's the third player for next year in the new 'Big 3.'

Time to get #13 NC this time next year!!!

Go Huskies!!!
My early guess on the 3rd player on next year’s Big 3 = Blanca. :)

When I first saw Paige as a freshman, I saw a young lady with amazing talent and an incredible love for the game that I felt would be contagious in the best of ways. The setbacks along the way, while debilitating and frustrating, have contributed to her growth as a person and player and it has all come full circle. She is the most deserving Champion and we get to live the thrill, participating in our own way. I am incredibly happy for her, our fans, and UConn, the undeniable Basketball Capital of the World!

Not only did Paige get that elusive title, I hope people remember the ultimate teammate she was. She poured everything into her teammates, and constantly tried to build them up and get them involved. Perhaps every frustrating passed up shot over the course of her career can be viewed as her relentless pursuit to get her teammates ready to go to battle alongside her under the brightest lights. And this year, they showed up confident and ready to do it with her. It reminds me of Diana’s ability to make people better. Paige knew she could only do so much, and relied on UConn team basketball to reach the mountain top.

Incredibly proud of this group, and the journey they’ve been on. One of the most deserving groups, and a truly dominant postseason run.

I’ll miss Paige, she’s been a blessing to watch. Excited for the next iteration of this team to take the reins and set out on the quest for #13.

Humm. I don’t think a #1 will have an opportunity to beat 3 #1’s

So the question would be has a #3 or lower beaten 3 #1’s
On the men's side: Arizona in '97. (check me on that)

Both Ash and KK were major contributors who recognized their roles and poured their heart and soul into them. Ash created soooo many extra possessions for this team and, with KK, altered the defensive intensity markedly. The duo not only spelled teammates for rest and foul management - they added dimensions.
Absolutely!!!

I thought Dawn blew by Geno pretty fast during the handshake line, did not say a word, I don't think.
Well, she did talk About it during her press conference. Something about not giving anyone a psychological advantage, so she keeps the handshake the same, always.

But, I can understand her emotional state immediately after the loss. Her team had just gotten whipped by UConn in the NC game, after being run-over by them seven weeks ago! She was not happy about it, and now she understands how it feels to lose in a championship game!!

Shout out to the UConn Women's Basketball Squad... They were totally disrespected and ran through EVERYBODY in the tourney... Left no stone unturned... Didn't boast and celebrate or cut down nets when the came out of the West for the Final 4... They were completely focused...

Didn't think they'd duplicate the effort against South Carolina from back in February, but they did...

#Salute

Maybe the haters ( NCAA committee ) will again respect what we do up in Storrs on the basketball court and give them the respect (seedings) they deserved from the start...

Not bad for a NUMBER 2 seed... Made all the number 1 seeds look like 10 seeds if you ask me...

Side Note. Maybe it wasn’t a good idea for Dawn to wear that LV jacket. UCONN players thought it meant…Lady Vols.:(

BTW…I’m probably 100% wrong for this, but I just couldn’t resist.
I did too! So I looked it up. Phew!
