They just suffocate you defensively and then go on that kill shot run and within 2 minutes it’s a 15 points game. It happens every. Single. Game. I don’t recall a UConn team ever doing something like this
1998-1999 team.
spurtability!1998-1999 team.
This may become our identity, which is much more terrifying and demoralizing to opponents than anything else.
Does anyone recall a similar UConn team that put up such impressive numbers?
Which makes sense because at that point the other team is worn down and tired, and our entire team is fresh because we have so much depth. It’s just not fairAnd oftentimes it's in the second half around the 12 minute to 5 minute mark where a game that was still somewhat in doubt turns in to when do we see Springs and when do the walk on come in.
Dre could have ended the game earlier if he didn’t half hesitate on that poster on bates. He needs to ram that. He had him and backed off.I think it’s a testament to our depth. We beat on teams for 30 mins going 9 (soon to be 10) deep. Then all of sudden we blitz them with a quick run and put the game out of reach.
Killer. Instinct.
