As someone who has had horses for over two decades now, I would rather see our Huskies riding in either Western or Australian saddles. Much safer IMO for novice riders. Unless, of course, they are taking lessons or this is a school course.

Yes, having a saddle horn to hang onto is helpful for the novice rider for sure. Azzi looks like she has not been around horses before. At all.
