Somewhat, but the real problem was the far-flung schools in Alaska and Alabama. 7 of the WCHA's 10 schools are staying together -- it's just in a "new" conference. They could've kicked out AK-Anch, AK-Fair, and Ala-Hunts and achieved the same result, but there probably would've been legal ramifications.The Big Ten wrecked this conference.
