Coming out of the Boston area, UConn always held special appeal for players like Selden.
“I can’t really say it ‘s a dream school but that was a school that everybody in Boston wanted to go to so now my list is opened up,” he said.
Despite UConn’s recent issues — they are banned from the 2013 postseason — Selden believes they’ll get back on track.
“Definitely,” he said. “I feel like they had a great program. Their history speaks for iteslf so i know with or without [Coach Jim] Calhoun there they’ll be able to turn it around.”

uconn was his pick it sounds like growing up, his #1. now with everything going on hes looking around. new england kids are growing up on uconn bball which is great. it just stinks that were only batting .500 with kids coming here and being sucessful. for every bazz or adrien theres a Jamal Coombs-McDaniel and wiggins.....

Seems obvious to me that he watched this season and saw how our team was ably handled by Coach Blaney during Coach Calhoun's absence. George Blaney is the future my friends - mark it down. We're lucky to have a personal friend of Naismith on staff.
