Watching the thoroughly uncompetitive OSU vs Cuse game in SU's in NYC...

.-.
This game was on while I helped a dear SU grad friend pack for moving, so I had to keep comments to a minimum. But we both perked up when the announcer said of Girard, "He isn't hitting his shots, but he is bleeding." I don't even think that's faint praise.

.-.
Kadary thinking to himself... "what did i do??"

answer, choose a nosepicking coach who is starting his son at his position.

Good news is his son has shot 38/35/85 splits. Bad news his son has seen an increase in shot attempts and minutes from about 6 FGA in 17 MPG to 13 FGA in 31 MPG Despite near identical shooting percentages.

Cuse fans think they will bring back Mike Hopkins when JB retires. His buyout through next year is 6 million dollars, and if he continues to do well, I bet Washington will give him another extension to keep him from leaving. Plus his family is from the West Coast.

Funny how things work out or perhaps were meant to be. Losing Carey and was thought to be a big deal but seems to be for naught. We might just be alright with Bouknight and more to come.

The deci$ion to blow up the old Big East and run for the dollars has not been kind to the Cuse bball(or fball) programs. More money, immediate mediocrity.

It hasn't been kind to any of the programs impacted, including us, on the field. MAYBE Maryland. I think UL will fall down to earth- and fast.

Cuse, Pitt, us, BC - all lost their identity in the moves. At least we get a chance to get it back.

The cuse bball board is a mirror image of us recently.

1. Do we have a weight room?
2. What is coaching succession plan?
3. I've been a fan all my life. I'm now apathetic.
4. Wish old BE was still around.

Syracuse has struck out on top recruits for a couple of years and is depending on numerous 3 stars in a league made up of 4 and 5 star players. Buddy, Girard, ect are nice role players, but should not be playing 30 minutes. Ollie’s path to sub .500 years was similar. Some 3 stars blossom, but they can’t be the foundation

they also have guys bailing early when they have little opportunity of the NBA. what that indicates is up for interpretation.

Must have played Jalen Carey. Don't they know you hold him out if you want to win?

Cuse fans finally coming to the realization that Girard is not Superman - or even a good D1 player.

Girard dominated New York State class B competition. For reference James Bouknight won class B player of the year, led his team to a state championship, was named playoff & championship game MVP, nearly broke the class B single season scoring record....as a sophmore.

Plus, how does he effectively play at the top of their zone?
My brother-in-law (former high school coach on Long Island) lives in the Glens Falls area and knows the Fredette family and the Girard family and still argues with me that Jimmer is an NBA player in spite of the teams not wanting him. Told me Girard is even better but it might be a little too early to tell a few games into his freshman year.
