My family and I are headed to Israel and will be there when the games will be played. I know it may be a long-shot but does anyone have any UConn friends who will be watching the game in Israel? I have been trying to find Doron and Nadav's emails to meet up with them but it is proving hard.

Doron has become a religious/spiritual person over the years. He lives in a vegetarian-vegan village in the Galilee and runs some kind of faith healing business there. The website for the business lists shefferdoron@gmail.com as his E-mail. His cellphone number is also listed.

Nadav is a wealthy businessman. No idea how you can reach him.

It's too bad because I've lived in Israel multiple times with my family (who are all die hard husky fans) but we're all back in the states now. I'll never forget watching the 2004 championship at 3:00am Israel time with my dad and us screaming at the top of our lungs when they won, waking up our neighbors :)

Depending on where you'll be, there are quite a lot of bars that show American sports late into the night and lots of Americans around who can join you

We are going to be in Jerusalem for the first game. Any recommendations?

Haven't been to Jerusalem for 4 years now but when I was there Lion's Den was a great place to go. I remember being there watching UCONN football get killed by Michigan in 2010 but it was still really fun. Also Mike's Place was popular. I would call both and see who will show the game. Everything's about negotiating there so just tell them you'll just get a ton of drinks if they show it, there shouldn't be too many things competing that night

Jerusalem is tricky. Not much of a night life in comparison to Tel-Aviv. Heck, only a few if any bars will actually broadcast the game (it will be broadcast live on israeli tv though). In my opinion, your best bet is probably Mike's Place.

Tel Aviv will be jumping. Lots of bars and restaurants in the old port area. The game will be on. Folks skateboard and walk on the boardwalk there at all hours. All three 4 lane highways heading into the city could be clogged late into the evening. They love the Huskies over there. It's by far the most prevalent college gear that's worn. I just got back from a wedding there.
