Watching Tennessee and Oregon State is like watching a PAC12 game...

Another sad day on Rocky Top.

Jeez OSU can't handle pressure. Next year will be different w/ Slocum but unfortunately Gulich will be gone.

Why aren't they calling fouls on Tenn, when they are pushing the ball handler.

Finally they call a foul on Tenn.

How is it possible that Tennessee is losing to OSU? All they had to do was press them because OSU has no speed and no ball handlers.

.-.
Not sure who the player is but she looked bored out of her mind

Pac 12 teams first round scoring:

Oregon 88
Stanford 82
Oregon St. 82
Arizona St. 73
UCLA 71

Not really seeing a lack of scoring. OSU is struggling to put points on the board today. That's one game.

For crying out loud...

Oregon scored 88 against Seattle!
UCLA got 71 against American U.!
ASU 73 against Nebraska!
Stanford rolled up 82 against a mediocre Gonzaga team that gave up 71 to San Diego, 70 to Pepperdine, and 72 to St. Mary’s.

Try looking at NCAA stats...

Oregon is 9th in offense. Next highest PAC12 team is UCLA at #41.

Nared is terrible. How did she make any of the watch lists this year?

I don't care if it was ugly. This is a BIG win for OSU. They've played Tennessee several times but never beaten them. Had some close calls against Notre Dame but never beaten them either. Only decent road game they've won this year was @ Arizona St. This was a rebuilding year for them, but they're going to the Sweet 16 for the 3rd straight year. Plus that whole 57-0 thing, about to become 57-1.

I'm almost sad that I didn't get to see Baylor wipe the floor with Tennessee and beat them by 40.

*almost*

But watching their pouty Tennesssee faces as they're embarrassed on their home court takes away any potential for sadness :)

Well seeing Tennessee go down makes up for Maryland's bad day and DePaul's loss.

From what I understand, before the game was even over they sent people to Holly's house to remove all the knives from her kitchen drawers. And the ropes out of her garage.

Don't know if y'all are watching, but Russell has come to play today. The best I've seen her all year.

At the point in the game when you posted this, I was in agreement - she was showing good control and patience. But still a very slow motor heading back on defense.

“Pouty” faces? A bit harsh, no? The kids tried hard and lost. It’s not their fault Holly can’t coach them properly. None of the players in Tennessee jerseys had anything to do with the UConn-Tenn rivalry; not sure what they’ve done to warrant this comment.

What happens when a less talented but well coached team plays a very talented but poorly coached team......Oregon State 66 Tennessee 59
Stop with the less talented stuff! Oregon State may not have played their very best game, but they played pretty darn well in the 2nd half. Defense is critical in the Tournament, and OSU played solid today, regardless of their poor outside shooting. Pivec & Katie McWilliams were outstanding today. Gulich had a decent game, and hit some key shots in 2nd half, and rebounded well in 2nd half. OSU had two freshman playing today in the rotation, and they played extremely well in their 1st BIG game in the Tournament. Let's give OSU some credit for beating Tennessee on their home court.

Was referring primarily to the spectators.

But it is their fault they didn't realize what a spiralling disaster the program is and go elsewhere instead. It wasn't like it was a secret. What a waste of talent.

That is true, - sad and depressed - not pouty. But it is so satisfying to see them lose on their home court. So many times they get all the calls and win at home, so it's hard not to gloat a little at this - OK maybe a lot.
