When I lived in Colorado, I had a wristwatch that was 2 hours fast. They couldn't fix it, so I moved to Connecticut, and a Husky fan was born!

Some thoughts on Canada vs Brazil and Kia Nurse
1. Nurse looked confident, handled the ball well, shot okay and the team seemed better when she was in. Interesting to note that when the game got close at about the six minute mark, they put Nurse in to finish the game. Didn't like that she missed two freebies at the end that would have sealed the game. Still think she will be awesome a UConn.
2. IMHO I thought that last years UConn team (the one beating up on Notre Dame in the championship game) would give either Canada or Brazil a good game. I would go so far as to make UConn a 5 point favorite, Neither Canada or Brazil showed much fire power. And it was apparent that no one on either team could handle Stewie. And MoJeff is by far the better guard ion either team.
3. Nice to see Canada streaming exhibition games. Hope this is a trend that USA Basketball will adopt.

I would agree that she looked confident and mature for her age. She controlled their offense very calmly and was a smart on ball defender. It will be interesting to see how she handles the ball against smaller and quicker guards in college. I realize she is already seeing some of that playing internationally, but neither team was the least bit impressive, in my opinion. I didn't see the entire game but, from what I did see, no post presence or high level of basketball skill on either side. Some athleticism for sure, but I don't see either team even competing with last year's UConn team. I'd pick the huskies by 25.

Agree. She has what I would call a sturdy body. Does not look fragile. Built right for any necessary contact.
