Flu epidemic? Ebola outbreak?

As I was perusing the 473 college basketball games on television yesterday, my surfing was halted when I happened across PITT v. BCU at the Conte Forum. It was a sea of red seats. The official attendance was barely over 2,000 and it looked like it wasn't half that in reality.

Tuesday...Winter break...and all that but still, it was PITT v. BCU!

Not trolling BCU hate, more interested in what's going through the collective brains of the ACC commissioners. Surely this can't be what they thought they were buying.

9pm start didn't do them any favors. But hey Pitt v BC is exactly what they wanted

Did you happen to see any of the Houston / UCF game. It probably made the BC game look like a sell out.

Saw the pic on @emptyseatsgalore Twitter. Could count the fans using fingers and toes. Rivals an early season Rutgers game!

It's crazy with easily 100,000 alumni in the area that they can't fill their on campus. I think hockey draws better

Hockey always has more interest and draws better in Boston. BC and BU are powerhouses in collegiate hockey. Attendance is down almost everywhere; some of the bowl games were virtually empty. That said if we played BC last night attendance would have tripled at least and much more Interest for sure.

I think Uconn Hockey draws better than BC hockey these days, and we just started trying at that sport.

I was at the Garden yesterday to watch St. John's vs Nova on 9PM slot and there were about 8k-9K folks there... we are talking about top 25 matchup and it gathered less than 10k.... So i'm not surprised that crappy teams like Pitt and BC are not drawing.

Fans are not coming out. CBB attendance definitely has to be down this year
