Official attendance I believe 22,167, or some similar number according to the radio guys.
Considering were 1-9, coming in, its freezing, and its thanksgiving weekend playing a meaningless game in regards to post season play, that crowd wasn't too bad IMO.
That is about right. I sat in 241 (no BL again) for the first half and went to 221 for the 2nd half. Sure it was warmer but even with sunglasses almost impossible to see anything. 22-23K feels right, with about 1000-1500 Rutgirls fans scattered about. Overall a decent crowd, and they were into the game.
That's what was listed in the newspaper box score too, 22,167.Official attendance I believe 22,167, or some similar number according to the radio guys.

Louisville.Yeah when did UConn flip the switch from tickets 'sold' to actual attendance?
My guess is that the AD can point to attendance increases next year as part of the improvements under the as yet unnamed new head coachYeah when did UConn flip the switch from tickets 'sold' to actual attendance?

Not only possibly point to an attendance increase but puts more pressure on the fans to actually show up.
My seats are on the press box side and there were a good amount of empties (including 3 missing from my group) all around us. We actually went over to the sunny side for the 3Q for the first time ever and hated it (I did not enjoy holding my hand up over my eyes to see the play) so we went back over to our seats for 4Q to better balance out the crowd noise . The sunny side attendance looked pretty good…about 70% full for most of the game. The press box side looked very bad…I'd guess that it was 15-20% full in the 3Q.
I don't disagree that those there were into the game. But if we're going to be in the ACC or B1G, crowds of this size are intolerable. Miami constantly gets bashed for their crowds but Miami doesn't state the actual attendance.Do you really think so? Anyway it was a pretty good crowd, those there were into the game..
Hey Dooley, I sit in 124 on the sunny side, and one thing I've learned over the years is to ALWAYS bring a baseball cap and sunglasses to day games, no matter what time of year. I might not need them, but they come in handy if I do. Just a friendly suggestion in case you are ever going to a game where you think you might sit on the sunny side for whatever reason.
