I sat at midfield under the press box second level (202). From my view, I thought at least 30K. For those on the UCONN side, in the sun, was our side empty and maybe I couldn't tell from that vantage point?

LOL yeah they are going out of their way to under report attendance. And yes the shade side was completely empty.

I was in 102 for the first half. Thought there was a good crowd. Went over to the sunny side at the 3rd quarter and the pressbox side was ill populated.

Sat in seats on the 40 of the sunny side. Shade side was fairly vacant. I feel like there was 30k. End zone opposite students was packed as was the rest of the sun side.

Official attendance I believe 22,167, or some similar number according to the radio guys.

Considering were 1-9, coming in, its freezing, and its thanksgiving weekend playing a meaningless game in regards to post season play, that crowd wasn't too bad IMO.

23k feel right. They all came over to our side in the second half. Reminded me of the crowd in Birmingham. Everyone sitting on the sun side

Sitting on the sunny side and looking around, I estimated low to mid twenties. Official count seems right to me. Pressbox side and student end was sparsely populated.

That is about right. I sat in 241 (no BL again) for the first half and went to 221 for the 2nd half. Sure it was warmer but even with sunglasses almost impossible to see anything. 22-23K feels right, with about 1000-1500 Rutgirls fans scattered about. Overall a decent crowd, and they were into the game.

It's a good thing that the cameras for the game were on the tower side of the field. Crowd on the sun side looked 80% full and you could see plenty of people standing on the concourse.

And yes the crowd sounded good on TV.

That's what was listed in the newspaper box score too, 22,167.

My seats are on the press box side and there were a good amount of empties (including 3 missing from my group) all around us. We actually went over to the sunny side for the 3Q for the first time ever and hated it (I did not enjoy holding my hand up over my eyes to see the play) so we went back over to our seats for 4Q to better balance out the crowd noise :). The sunny side attendance looked pretty good…about 70% full for most of the game. The press box side looked very bad…I'd guess that it was 15-20% full in the 3Q.

Yeah when did UConn flip the switch from tickets 'sold' to actual attendance?

My guess is that the AD can point to attendance increases next year as part of the improvements under the as yet unnamed new head coach

Looks like they did it for basketball too though.

Not only possibly point to an attendance increase but puts more pressure on the fans to actually show up.

Hey Dooley, I sit in 124 on the sunny side, and one thing I've learned over the years is to ALWAYS bring a baseball cap and sunglasses to day games, no matter what time of year. I might not need them, but they come in handy if I do. Just a friendly suggestion in case you are ever going to a game where you think you might sit on the sunny side for whatever reason.

I don't disagree that those there were into the game. But if we're going to be in the ACC or B1G, crowds of this size are intolerable. Miami constantly gets bashed for their crowds but Miami doesn't state the actual attendance.

I had sunglasses, but never thought about a baseball hat. I usually stroll over to 221 in the 2nd half at some point. It usually isn't this bad, but was awful yesterday (right in the eyes).

I moved from 206 to 219. Sun did make it tough to see but it was like 20 degrees warmer in the sun.

I was there. 22K sounds about right. I would guess about 10K for the National Anthem and 15K for kickoff.

Speaking of seating....Hard to believe UCF is already in the process of upgrading their 6 year old 45K seat stadium. Adding more boxes and looking to add an upper deck with another 10K+ seats.
