While my football team wasn’t championship caliber, we had a couple of teams play for and win NC’s at my time there. It has been done in the past. My son will be on a college bowling team here in Michigan and they only have 1 tournament in state. Their conference is mostly Wisconsin and Illinois teams. They will be heading to a tournament in Vegas in the fall and have gone to Atlanta and NYC in the past. For those tournaments, they are usually gone for a week.
