I know they practiced for two weeks with Tim as the starter, but seeing as how the USF defenders couldn't handle what looked like perfectly thrown INTs, I wonder if the WRs struggled with the difference in arm strength in passes thrown by Tim as opposed to to Whitmer.
 
I don't think that was the issue. Boyle throws it far faster than Whitmer, but these receivers saw those throws at practices. They have to catch the passes. As for the USF defenders dropping around 7 INT's, it is because they just aren't that good.

We lost to a very poor football team.
 
Um remember last year when USF went 3/4s of the season without an interception before Whitmer handed them one in the fourth quarter... they are miserably bad.

The velocity definitely had something to do with it. This kid has a big arm, which just might be able to carry a bunch of mediocre D-1 players.
