13-0 Florida state…maybe. But it becomes an SEC vs ACC thing. That’s why the 8 team playoff will be a great thing. My question is, how does a one loss, perennial power like Georgia drop out after a 3 point loss to Bama?
Absolutely not. Rigged for sec. if Alabama was undefeated and had no quarterbacks they would be in

Of course they were. The entire committee is a joke.
1. If you pick best teams, then why isn’t Georgia in there? They are clearly top 4.
2. If Georgia beat Alabama , FSU would have been in spot 4.
The committee had to defer to Texas because they had to get an sec team. They can’t justify alabama and Georgia over texas.
So they made up a thing about fsu, as if you can’t win a game with a backup qb, and decided to throw Fsu under the boss.
What the committee really wanted to do is this.
1. Michigan
2. Washington
3. Alabama
4. Georgia
They would have preferred that.

Try to pay attention to what’s going on.
Ultimately we should just probably blame Auburn for running a two man rush and letting the Alabama QB have all day to throw that game winning TD pass a couple of weeks ago. Two times in recent years they have handed Alabama chances to win when they just shouldn't have. Auburn screwed themselves and FSU that day.

I’m surprised they didn’t drop Georgia to 4, leave Texas out, and bama at 3. Essentially this is an SEC vs Big 10 playoff. Everyone else so screwed

The reality is this. There is the P2 and then everyone else. When the playoff goes to 12, the ACC and the Big 12 will get their conference champ in and rarely get a second team in. The P2 will get 3 to 4 teams per conference each year.

Alabama lucked out against Auburn whose coach rushed three giving the Alabama QB and receiver all the time in the world .
It was an huge mistake unless you have 8 quality DB’s . Your LB’s are not staying with a receiver in fact they could hurt you. So it becomes 5 on 5 . With a quality QB and decent receivers it is advantage offense.
They should be a two loss team if the Auburn defensive coach wasn’t an idiot.

Four is probably the right number, especially now that we're down to four power conferences. The most you could talk me into is six. Anything more than that diminishes the regular season.
People that stand to make more money from expanding the playoff will always have you believe that this was the problem. It's not.

FSU got screwed but the committee did what it was designed to do which is to protect the power conferences. All that talk about "best teams" not "most deserving teams". SMH. It's not sport when a committee picks the winners, it's reality TV.
