The decline in all sports attendance has been steadily decreasing since the mid 2000's - i.more empty seats. The correlation, while it has some bearing, does not seem to be tied to wins and losses.

If that's what you want to believe.....all the power to you.

I don't know Jimmy. The NFL announced that there will be locker room cams on the jumbotrons that would be exclusive to the fans in the stadium. They are looking for more incentives to get people into the stadiums. HDTV is changing spectator sports. More people would rather stay home and eat their own food.

Yep. And not get into fights at the stadium. Or pay $10 for a watered down beer. Or spend two hours trying to get to the game and then another two hours trying to get home.

I bought someone else's season tickets for the Giants a few years ago. It was absolutely miserable. Every time we lost, it felt like there was a fight right near me, either caused by fans of the opposing team being stupid in someone else's home field or between Giant's fans who couldn't agree on why our own team stank so much that day. Oh, and I had to pay something like $200 a ticket / game for that wonderful experience.

My couch became a lot more attractive after that. Even a local bar was a lot better.
