I'm not either, never was. But it's much more than a zombie show. Zombies are just kind of a backdrop for a survival/human nature/moralistic choices type show.

Not trying to convince you to watch, just saying I felt exactly the same way you did before I watched it. No interest at all until I happened to catch it with my sister-in-law a couple times.
