Freshman of the year in the wac Katie Scott hits a jumper to tie the game at 38 a minute into the 4th quarter. Grand Canyon and Utah Valley are slugging it out but I don't hold my breath at either can stay on the court with the Lancers.

Freshman of the year in the WAC, center Katie Scott with the steal. . . Tiarra Brown to the line and hits one of two and then . . . Carvalho with the turnover and the SPANIARD with the layup and the Lopes are up by 5 with 5 minutes left in the game. Is the momentum swinging?
Lopes hitting the boards, now with 13 steals and 10 offensive boards! Could it be . . .
4th quarter TV timeout and with just under 5 minutes remaining, the Lopes can continue the dream.
And out of the timeout Tianna Brown hits the Jumper to extend the lead to 7 . . . and UV responds with a three and a Cavalho jumper.
And, yes, Freshman of the Year with a layup to extend the lead back to 7, largest lead of the game for Grand Canyon.

Carvalho with her 9th turnover . . . but hold the phone, she steals it back from Taylor Caldwell. UV converts with a jumper and the game is 55-53 . . . hold the phone, Katie Scott with the turnover and UV calls time out with 33 tics on the clock. Are we looking at OT? Lopes with 5 turnovers in the last 3 minutes including 2 costly ones by Scott.

Well there you go, Freshman of the Year ices the game with 2 free throws and Lopes escape . . . and face a formidable task in the final. Should the Lopes win they DANCE. When they lose, the loser of this game DANCES...odd.
