TDF. I love your inserts. They always make me laugh.

Sitting here at the coliseum wondering how did we lose to these scrubs

I wish Tennessee would take a long look at Harper as a coaching candidate. I think she would step in at UT and recruit very well and carry on the tradition. "I won three championships at Tennessee." Not a bad selling point.

I liken her to Rizzotti for UCONN. She just seems to be a "fit" for the program and one that would create an easy transition.

However, Jolly has not been tremendously successful. Nikki Caldwell has had a better record.

I think Caldwell is locked in at LSU for a while. I don't see her as an option anytime soon.

I followed your link, and I saw this:

I get that they're the Demon Deacons and all, but this is the most sad and tragical excuse for a mascot I have ever seen. It looks like a rejected character design for Ebeneezer Scrooge in A Muppets Christmas Carol. The costume appears to be stained and probably smells of mold.

The only possible way that Lord Foppington here could get me to feel anything other than sad about going to the fourth-best basketball school in North Carolina is if he ran from the foul line and slam dunked over Tim Duncan.

You're telling me that this is the best you can do with a mascot that embodies the violently opposed forces of Heaven and Hell? Where is the crucifix? Where is the KISS makeup? Where is the goth affect? Could we at least get a young, attractive male co-ed under the stovepipe hat, a la ND's leprechaun?

I shun you, WF. I shun you.

Except it has not worked at NC State.

Would be a lot easier for a UT graduate with three NCAA titles to her credit to recruit at UT. It's not nearly as easy to draw a top player to a program that you are rebuilding. It's all about a former UT player recruiting players to UT.

And I think the UT fans would immediately get behind her and support her more than they would someone without a UT connection.

Considering high school seniors were four years old when Jolly won her last title, I am not sure.
