Yeah but even before when the NFL regular season ended before New Years there would be playoffs and they played them on Sunday and the colleges played on 1/2

Tickets on Stubhub for the Pinstripe Bowl start at a respectable $59, and those are the nosebleeds in Yankee Stadium, which is generally a lousy place to watch any sporting event, for a 3:30 kickoff on a Friday. Any non-crappy seat is over $100. The Orange Bowl tickets are on Stubhub for $2, and you can get essentially as many as you want. Sugar Bowl tickets are $39 and Fiesta Bowl are at $29. Their are thousands left for both games.

If we go back to the old system, the Big East needs the Pinstripe to become its anchor bowl.
