On right now on FS1. Nova's first game back from a covid pause and they picked right back up with their obnoxious 3-point shooting game style knocking down everything.

Seton Hall almost matching with their shooting. Not sure why they were blown out vs Creighton minus Zegarowski.

While I am watching this all I can think of is if we can't defend St. John's 3-point shooting and dribble drives how the hell are we going to handle Nova? That is their game and if we don't clean stuff up defensively I would not be surprised if we lose by 15+. It is imperative that we defend the 3 and have our bigs anchor the defense to block layups.

He is the definition of a "Big Guy". It will be interesting to see how the UConn bigs match up. Maybe UConn can go to a 5 guard offense and Seton Hall will sit him.
Yoooooo

Rhoden with 17 at half? Sheesh

LOL... I think I know what you did there... good one. Well played sir.

All tied up at 45 and 15 minutes to go. It’s a good game.

UConn is a very good defensive team, including against 3 point shooting. Even after the St John's game we're 66th in 3P% defense

we'll be fine as long as we play small ball

66th?
Perhaps we have different standards, and 30 years of watching JC's Defenses have me jaded, but "66th" is not what I'd describe as "very good." In fact, I'd have to go less than "good" and call it "barely tolerable."

Good Lord.

It's now 96-56 with 7+ min remaining
Bama has 22 made 3's.

SEC must really suck this year with the exception of Bama. I mean look at Kentucky... garbage!

Mamu is a freaking 6'11" PG... wow

Big East officiating is garbage! You don't call a foul on bumping each other for the rebound with less than one second to go! Horrible! Great game and the refs decide it? Total home job by the refs!

66th out of 357 is good, and is coded as such on KenPom. Especially when we have the 26th ranked defense

can someone explain what the problem with a 9pm game is? do grown adults have 10pm bedtimes?

9pm EST means people from coast to coast can watch these games after work. i absolutely love it. MNF games end later than these do and no one complains

Because if the early games run late the start can get bumped to 11:11pm?

When’s the last time that happened? The only college game I recall going past midnight lasted 7OTs and I bet everyone here was awake for it

I'm an outlier, but I start work at 4am.

I generally wake up at 5:40 a.m. on weekdays, which means I am usually struggling to stay awake past 10:00 p.m. Not a bedtime; just a reality.

Somewhat counter-intuitively, I seem to be able to stay awake later if I am drinking, but then I don't sleep as well (and I'm trying to cut back on weeknight drinking, which has become far too regular since Covid hit).

Can't remember the last time I stayed awake for a MNF game.
