Villanova Post Game Thread

Yeah half the time I'm not sure if Ross or Stew are even involved in a play outside of stand in the corner for spacing.
Interesting take. I feel like we had a similar conversation not too long ago where you suggested I know nothing about basketball for saying Ross’ role in the offense has been to maintain spacing in the corner.

Guy who has never learned a motion offense or knows the rules of it argues with guy who has played in one and understands the rules of it and general floor spacing that goes beyond standing in a corner and shooting.

I’m going to chalk this up to a bit instead of you actually believing this stuff.

The whole reason Silas had to reset was because Ross made a bad cut. Smh

But continue to show how much you don’t actually understand what you’re watching.

sigh

There is a difference between being in the middle of a play and making the right read to provide proper spacing to attack a defense and…

Coming down the floor and getting a play initially setup.

I would say I hope this helps but I'm sure it doesn't.

It's O.K. if you read the Duke board but don't post that crap over here. I'm sure you could find something on every other team on every other board but is it worth us reading? Why? Want me to write something bad about Duke on here and you can go post it over on their board? Get a grip.
Maybe I'm driving a little juice up in the event we play them in March......

In all fairness the games all have been close in the second half,so he has been playing his starters more minutes.Ross has no business playing in crunch time. He is a very poor mans Andre Jackson.
He played some excellent D and almost knocked down a 3 that was halfway down.

He bit badly on one fake and missed a couple FTs, granted at a critical time.

Do people realize he was starting to play really well before he got injured and is trying to work his way back. Also it's very hard to knock down shots when you only get a few minutes here and there.

I think he's a talented player and will be a solid contributor by season's end if he can stay healthy.

Similar situation for Stewart. They'd both show more if they were getting starter's minutes, but are simply player behind more experienced and/or talented teammates.

Look how poorly, Karaban looked in the first half? If he was a bench player, after a couple poor opportunities, he'd find himself on the bench. But because he's a starter and proven player, he continued to get PT and had an outstanding 2nd half and overtime.

With this said, I hope Ross and Stewart provide more offense with the time they're getting.

Karaban’s time here is a shining example of what someone can do with opportunity and leash.

Unfortunately Stew and Ross did not come into similar situations and have to manage accordingly.

Neither is nearly as smart as AK.

.-.
I wonder who else people on this board consider smart outside of Karaban and Cam.
Have you watched them? AK isn't the most athletic guy out there, but he's the on floor QB, glue guy, leader. The reason he is being mocked early second isn't for his skillset as much as his smarts.

You’re doing the Lord’s work man.

I guess there’s a guy that thinks our center is named Travis Reed. And you GOT HIM!
You are strange but you always know more than everyone else, But O.K. you got me.

Nothing about that post indicates I know more than anyone or strangeness, I figured he got autocorrected to Travis but I don’t know that.

I think you waltzing through the halls monitoring spelling is funny but otherwise don’t really care.

I posted this in the help me out thread with no luck so I thought I would try here and see if I have better luck.
Can someone please give those who missed the game (me included) a full game recording. The YouTube full game replay sucked. Great day to watch or re-watch, thanks.

After Texas, Hurley mentioned they need to do a better job running things for Jaylin—but has anyone seen any plays really drawn up for him?

Fox One sucks as they don't actually have the replays available.

I was trying to watch the live replay they show later in the night and they fast-forwarded from the 8 min mark in the 2nd half to under a minute left.

Has to be the worst sports streaming app out and this is my last month paying $20 for that garbage.

Thread is getting a little toxic with characterizations of posters not helping the general post Nova for those wanting interesting analysis conversations.

I always try to stay away from name calling (unless self-deprecating humor is needed) and keeping things civil.

I am still waiting for a replay showing Lewis clocking Mullins as we seem split on wether it was intentional or not. The AP article treated it like "who appeared to be struck during a loose ball..." making it milquetoast instead of gutsy journalism.
