AK and Samson were awesome and took over when it mattered in second half.

Mahaney kept us in the game and got us to the place where they could take over.

If we can get Liam going this is going to be a really tough team to beat. AK is fully back and Samson is playing the best ball of his career lately, we legit have the two headed center monster.

It's really nice to see AK smiling and looking so loose now. It's also nice to see Mahaney get it going. Almost feels like a redemption tour.

So do you think Karaban is fully healed from the concussion? /s. He's had a pretty good 5 game run here.

Mahaney played pretty well. If he can give that every game it makes everything better.

Switching Diarra on to Poplar did the trick. I'm not sure how many points Poplar had with Diarra on him but it wasn't much.

On to Creighton.

The adjustment to play bigger the 2nd half of the 2nd half was huge.

You also saw the advantage of playing a team who had to play the day before.

Mahaney showed a burst of speed with his layup and didn't look rattled against their pressure. I expect him to get more minutes.

Let's wear down Creighton tomorrow.

UConn just wrapped up a minimum 7-seed tonight. Dominating a damn good Villanova team tonight. 23 wins. No way there are 30 teams better than this team right now.

AK back in the Draft Lottery discussion.

Mahaney's best game as a Husky.

2 more wins for the BET champs & a 5-seed!

Let's go!

Felt like it took the law of averages 30 minutes to work in UConn's favor. UConn was more dominant most of the game but was missing wipe open 3's while Nova was making contested 17' shots.

A couple games ago (against Marquette I think?) it looked like we started switching, 1-5, a lot more. I think it’s helped us out a bunch on that end, we seem to be getting beat on the dribble less. Today about four different guys contributed to playing Dixon as primary defenders and I can’t imagine he enjoyed all the different looks.

Great to have Karaban back. I think the eight we saw today is probably our highest-ceiling rotation, and they all had more positives than negatives today (except maybe Liam, but he still made a couple of key layups).

Kept it sober tonight but will be piss drunk for tomorrow and watching with the boys. Let’s win (at least) one trophy this season!

It was also taking Ball out and having Stewart on Poplar and Longino at times. He really is playing great D.

This version of AK changes everything. Absolutely everything.

It isn’t even knocking down the shots. Although that’s nice too of course. But when he plays with a purpose - cutting hard, looking assertive, looking like every play is designed for him to score, it puts pressure on the defense. And then his strengths come out - often being one step ahead thinking what his next move is (pass, drive or shoot).

Everyone else’s job is so much easier when AK is someone the other team has to adjust to. When he just sort of blends in and hides and moves around the floor without a sense of purpose, everyone else’s job gets harder.
