I could see someone who is living in the past say Isaiah Whaley isn't a college center or even someone possibly saying Sanogo isn't a college center (which would also be stupid) but Tarris Reed? He's Andre Drummond size and his game is strictly low post.
How little you actually know. You talk a good game or so you think.

We don’t want him playing how he was playing at UM. He was all over the place and a mistake machine. Hurley himself said they were trying to simplify his game so he can focus on what he does best. Maybe you reduce him to perfect what he does well and build up from there, but we don’t want him anywhere near how he was used at UM.

I can’t think of one 4 in the current college game he resembles. If this is the take the Zubi must also be a 4.
Would love to see Tarris develop a consistent foul line shot for next year. I think one of the things that kills them this year is no respect for Samson or Reed at the foul line. Jams everything else up. How many times have we seen the offense running their sets and Samson or Reed ending up getting the ball above the foul line with 5 seconds on the shot clock. At that point it’s almost automatically going to be a bad/rushed shot or shot clock violation.

Go back and read what I said. Said he was a traditional power 4.
His game should translate to a very poor man’s Karl Malone.

Name a modern day center he reminds you of? Go ahead, I will wait.
I posted over the summer that he modeled his game after Malone, even wearing his number growing up

That being said, he is not anything but a back to basket post and PnR player, who can only guard the opponents big, because of his lack of lateral quickness to defend a wing. So, in our offense and defense, a 5.

Tarris has a nice looking FT stroke, was shooting it really well earlier in the year, close to 80% but has tanked over his last month. Tis Tarris. The best way to maximize Tarris is by keeping him engaged by using him. When he’s a leftover out there that’s when he starts drifting.

Having McNeeley learn some early lead guard looks could do wonders for us, but more specifically him next level. Could vault him top-5 potentially. After the top-3 it’s kind of a crapshoot, Edgecome is great but a bit erratic, I can see teams looking for a more sure thing.

I don’t think Reed has even glanced at the basket from more than 12 feet out lmao

Why is he inconsistent? He wasn’t at Michigan. Again, it’s because he is playing out of position. But no point to talk in circles. We can disagree. But like I said, it’s a hill I will confidently die on.
He was even more inconsistent at Michigan

Not really. The program was a mess. He showed a higher ceiling st Michigan. Not saying he can’t excel next year because I think he can. He is simply being grossly misused. Tarris is a stud.

I can’t wait to see him on the flier with Riebe. It will open things up for Tarris in so many ways.

How many games did you watch? He had far more games like the second half vs nova at Michigan. Did you watch them? Michigan was a dumpster fire. Between Howard, a pg that was partially suspended and kids like Tarris looking to leave in January.

Tarris Reed Stats

Michigan Soph season
26.5 mpg - 8.9ppg, 7.2rpg, 52%, 1.5 blocks, 2.3 turnovers

UConn
20 mpg, 9.2ppg, 6.9rpg, 65%, 1.6 blocks, 1.3 turnovers

By all accounts his number are much more efficient at UConn. Now I’m sure you’ll have some counter that you’ll rationalize being a Reed expert. If anything he just needs more minutes.

You really are clueless. What he is capable of and what he is doing here are two completely different things . Keep posting. Your ignorance is shining through.

Nova was a game changer for Reed. You could tell by his body language and energy. He also knew he wasn't gonna get the hook for Samson in the second half. He played with confidence and efficiency. Dan was smart enough to leave him alone and let him do his thing. He and Liam closed the deal.

The two of them play really well together because Liam is smart enough to recognize he’s an advantage.

I do have a counter but it’s not worth my time. Think what you want I really don’t care. The arrogance on this board triggers me sometimes. You can type what you want. Believe what you want. It doesn’t really matter. Let’s see what happens this season and spring.

Show me a video come of him being a versatile, away from basket player. Just a classic Dunning-Kruger at play here.

I don't think he is, he's just clueless.
You’re funny. Your ego always amazed me. Especially since you are the clueless one so many times. You talk like you are the authority and always know so little/

This is getting HOT! Forget court and hangings, the Yard needs a digital boxing ring. In this corner, weighing 8 characters, the Nutmeg DJ himself, spinning posts alongside records, DJCT1999!!!
He seems a bit angry. I can dodge the haymakers.
