This team has the mettle of a champion led by veterans Sir Newton and Spencer.
A special shout out to Castle, calmly sunk 2 free throws after that nasty fall.

This felt like a March game and if felt great finish this one on top even though it wasn't pretty.

Games like tonight are what UConn will learn from and build upon later this season.

Jay Wright is handsomer than all of us. Oh, nice tough BE win as well. Nova is better than I thought they were. That is all.

Not our best performance but we took all of Nova's best punches on the road and showed our mettle when it mattered and gutted it out and executed the way you would hope they would in a tight game. Game ball to Tristen.

I always feel comfortable with this team even when things aren't going well. It's a nice feeling.

For sure. My wife (who watches zero basketball) said to me at one point “they (Nova) just turn around when they see him by the basket”. Yes, yes they do.

Castle was pretty bad overall.
Whille he did take some head scratching bad shots Tristen imho put to bed the argument that this teamd doesnt have a guy that can go get a bucket when we need it.
Donovan dominated at times but wore out. If he stays healthy and gets in shape no one is going to beat this team. He is absolutely dominant when hes on. Not sure why when we went up late by 9 instead of ill advised flat out stupid shots why they didnt just dump it down to DC.
Overal im glad we won but we let Nova play it close.
