Saved to my YouTube Playlist, I have the UCONNHUSKYGAMES replay of the 2017 American Conference Championship game where Katie Lou went 10 for 10. It is so much fun to watch and I especially enjoy listening to the game announcers, Bob Picozzi and Rebecca Lobo.
I can also remember watching it live and going bonkers over here performance.

I too watched the game and Katie Lou was at that time my favourite player on Uconn and YES, I went nuts watching her. Who can forget the shoulder shrug she did I believe it was on number 8. I have the game saved and have probably watched 20/25 times since. If she didn't get hurt late in her career , she would have passed PHEE for the next rank as she was only 47 points behind. I am happy that her life has turned out so nicely. All the happiness you deserve.

Gotta say that I forgot what a great 3 point shooter Maya was, perhaps because of everything else she did. Most of these shots in the video she got off very quickly , and many were contested. Really, has there been a better player at UConn? I think people should watch her again in action. So smooth, so athletic! Yikes! Thanks Gael for posting that.

I was at that Maya vs. Syracuse game in the XL center. I went to just about every home game during the Maya years....

What an unbelievable talent she was.

Whoops! I guess I was third to respond. It was the opening game of the 2014-15 season, at UC Davis. Three nights later they lost in OT at Stanford, and then began their record-setting 111-game winning streak.

I couple of items watching these 2 videos, that make you think that somethings never change:

1. Comments I believe in both clips about the ball not hitting the floor, but rather w/o a dribble, being passed from one Husky to the next before getting to the hot hand.
2. The UCONN tradition of the end of the bench player running through the bench getting high-fives from everyone.
3. Talk about the defense as an important part of the UCONN offense; and finally,
4. The sheer joy of the entire team over the success of one of their teammates.

Geno and CD have done a remarkable job of instilling team values into the players they recruit, over their entire tenure The name on the front of the jersey really does mean everything whereas in most other schools, the important thing is the name on the back.

Lou is such a good college player. Hard to believe that she has not had more success in the WNBA.

CD is a clothes horse. My guess is that she has at least 30 or 40 similar outfits in blue. Enough to wear through our 13th National Championship.
