Video of New Scoreboard

I don't know about you guys... and believe me I'm super glad they got this new video board (MAJOR upgrade) and that its in before Towson, but I kinda wish they painted or got rid of that stupid, faded looking super stucture arond the board and added the new Husky logo at the top above the screen?

Those are great ideas. Hope they filter through to someone who can make it happen.

See in the photo of the back of the scoreboard there is what looks like some sort of framing on the front side below the video board. I wonder if they're going to be wrapping it with graphic banners, or ads? I really wish they just painted the thing in the first place though. It looks terrible faded... None the less, excited to see it in action in t-minus 40 hours from now!

Someone can correct me if I'm wrong (and I'm sure they will ) but I don't think the superstructure has faded significantly since it was built. It has always been this color - same color as the material that wraps the press/Stadium club tower. Now if you want to argue that it should be National Flag Blue so be it, but I'm pretty positive that the material is made to be low maintenance so painting (with resultant chipping and peeling) is not needed.

So now let's see if someone can answer this question: Why is the siding on the press box 2 different colors. I remember looking at that during the very first game there vs Indiana saying "Who in their right mind tried purposely to use 2 different colors of siding? It almost looks like the left side of the press box/luxury boxes was done as an afterthought.

Ahhh... I was looking for a 2003-2006 picture for comparison. Funny that the lower part matches the current color and probably the back side but the front has definitely faded and I stand corrected (unless you are a photo-shop pro )

I think the section on the left is the club seats, so they wanted to make it stand out a bit from the press box and suites.

I got an answer about concessions in a new Courant article today.

"Changes will be seen at UConn's second home game, when new concession options are imveiled and upgraded food preparation equipment is installed. Lawrence said the menu options will be more diverse, with stands dedicated to specific items (Mexican, pizza, barbecue and fried food, among other things). Upgraded food preparation equipment will also improve the overall quality of the items and help expedite the concession process."

I just hope they have some cheap options.
