Anyone know what the deal is with Victor Rosa?
As noted above (injury occurred btwn Maryland and Merrimack games):
Hope soGetting Rosa back just gives Evers another weapon to depend on. He catchbes the ball well out of the backfield
Ask Fagnano about how he catches the ball out of the backfield.Getting Rosa back just gives Evers another weapon to depend on. He catchbes the ball well out of the backfield
You mean that horribly placed ball by Joe?Ask Fagnano about how he catches the ball out of the backfield.
When it’s not thrown at his back? Just fineAsk Fagnano about how he catches the ball out of the backfield.
Victor has never fumbled in his 3 years at UConn, just saying. His ability to break tackles, his balance after getting hit, and his nose for daylight are the best on the team. Yes, I know he is 3 on someone’s depth chart.Ask Fagnano about how he catches the ball out of the backfield.
He is very adept at running into his blockers instead of going through the hole. Not sure what games you are watching.Victor has never fumbled in his 3 years at UConn, just saying. Cam Edwards is very talented. Rosa should be behind him but that’s about it. He should be touching the ball a lot. We’ve got to have someone touching ball besides Bell and Edwards.Victor has never fumbled in his 3 years at UConn, just saying. That’s just not true.Victor has never fumbled in his 3 years at UConn, just saying.
Agreed. Rosa just needs to stay healthy…poor kid always seems to be dinged up.Cam Edwards is very talented. Rosa should be behind him but that’s about it. He should be touching the ball a lot. We’ve got to have someone touching ball besides Bell and Edwards.
I checked on ESPN for Victor Rosa UConn football stats for years 2022, 2023, and 2024……Fumbles and Fumbles lost, both columns were all zeros for all games for 22, 23 and 24.That’s just not true.

I'd like to see Rosa in the slot a couple times a game with Cam in the backfield. That could really open up some plays both for the RB and WRCam Edwards is very talented. I suppose ESPN could be wrong and you’re right.
On the ESPN site, they show fumbles on the game by game player stats.I checked on ESPN for Victor Rosa UConn football stats for years 2022, 2023, and 2024……Fumbles and Fumbles lost, both columns were all zeros for all games for 22, 23 and 24.

ESPN just puts what UConn tracks in the game stats grid. UConn doesn’t track the individual fumbles there (they aren’t in the grid from their sports stats software). If you dig through each game book you’ll find them in text at the bottom.I suppose ESPN could be wrong and you’re right.
Can't trust the world wide leader. He definitely fumbled when he hurt his ankle last yr.I checked on ESPN for Victor Rosa UConn football stats for years 2022, 2023, and 2024……Fumbles and Fumbles lost, both columns were all zeros for all games for 22, 23 and 24.

They show it by year also. They show 2022, 2023, and 2024 zero fumbles. On the ESPN site, they show fumbles on the game by game player stats.

I have been saying for 3 years that I think Victor's skillset may be best leveraged as a slot receiver. Now that the backfield depth looks deep enough, I would love to see this tried. Quick pop to him so he can burst for 3-5 yards before a tackler gets to him where he can bounce off that first tackler for even more YAC.
