Very OT: What's it feel like outside?

I'm not in the midwest but even here in Fairfield my car says -4, and it feels much colder. Car started and heat is working. Haven't felt this cold since I was in North Dakota.

-15 right now with wind chill of -34 in North Central Indiana. All I hear is my deck cracking and I turned down heat so it just doesn't stay on.

35 degrees and getting up to 49 here in the ATL. Weekend is going to be nice here for the Superbowl with Temps in the low 60's. I would never move back to Connecticut. I'm actually thinking of moving to the St. Pete, FL area as I don't like any temperatures near 32 degrees.

I like it but when it's way below 0 like the past couple of days it's a bit much. I'll still take it over 95 degrees and humid as all hell, it's also pretty cool when the entire city is a ghost town.

Yep, 100 degrees with high humidity over -15 windchill . I prefer to wear less than more.

I am a teacher also. We've had 5 days so far this year. 2 because of snow and 3 because of the cold. I expect another 2-3 more at least.

I like wearing shorts and a T too but I sweat like Michael Jackson at Chuck E. Cheese's. You can layer to keep warm, no escaping the heat.

How cold was it when they cancelled?

They cancelled 3 days this week for cold. They cancelled Monday night for Tuesday and Wednesday and then cancelled yesterday for today. The weather on Tuesday wasn't terrible, we could of had school, but we have a lot of walkers and that plays a part in the decision I guess. Usually anything around -15 wind chill gives us a delay or if the temp will not rise throughout the day then they call it. So suffice to say, Wednesday and Thursday it was well deserved.
