It had to be done. His tactics were curious at best, he lost that club (same thing happened when he was at Chelsea). No trust/confidence from your players, then it is time to go. Early in the year I chalked it up to the team becoming familiar with eachother, then as the season went on it only got worse.

Levy should have went after Roberto Martinez after 'arry went on his way. The fact he kept Wigan playing in the BPL for the time they were with the budget and roster he could assemble was nothing short of miraculous. Spurs missed out (so did Man U - they also should have hired him over Moyes). Will be interesting. Hopefully this will provide a spark for these guys. They do have talent on the roster. Also missed by not bringing in a more creative midfielder, or someone who can hold down the left side. Look what Ozil has done for The Scum. He is as big of a factor as any for their success. He makes the players around him that much better, as did Bale when he was at WHL. Spurs should have worked a deal for him as part of the Bale package, with a reduced transfer fee for Bale (not sure they can do that in soccer though).

They definitely could have, but Ozil likely would have balked. Arsenal are still a bigger name club, with Champions League a regularity...
