Can they all hear her? How do you get through the crowd if you got tickets? I mean just going to the bathroom or to get food would get someone lost. Forget saving a spot for a friend(s).

I am just perplexed and fascinated how this happened (e.g. venue/traffic planning) and the experience for fans.

Copacabana Beach - Rio

Lady Gaga’s concert at Copacabana Beach

i was on Copa beach at New Years a few yers ago--along with 2 million others. Those that are far away do not see or hear. Forget the bathrooms. And i got my phone stolen, because i decided he could have it and i could stay unhurt.

So you’re saying it’s not safe?

Some off topic. When the Cubs won the WS a few years back they registered on the top list of largest human gatherings in history. On that list was a Rod Stewart concert in Rio. They like their American music down in Brazil.
I wasn't at the game but I watched it at a bar down the street in Wrigleyville. As soon as they got the final out bars emptied and everyone hit the streets. We ran down Clark Street high fiving everyone and then it was just a wall of people as you got near the stadium.

I never knew it was the largest gathering ever in the Western Hemisphere and just looked it up, 5-6 million people. Man, that was a fun time.

No concert will ever touch this...

Rod Stewart was great. Never heard of him until I saw him as the second warmup act for Three Dog Night at the Atlanta Fulton County Stadium many years ago.

I'm trying to imagine being immersed in the crowd with what certainly contained unlimited string bikinis stretched to the limit. Lady Gaga was probably not the priority for many of the attendees. I was in Central Park when Sheryl Crow happened to be performing. The music carried pretty far and I would imagine it carries further on a beach.
