Vegas & NCAA Tournament

I've been to Vegas a couple of times for the first weekend of the tournament. I'm actually thinking the 2nd weekend might be fun too. As a not seasoned traveler I was wondering if anyone else had the same thought and what they're seeing for airfare.

I just assumed it would be cheaper to book 8 days out as opposed to 3 days out.
