Well, like many Mass holes, you & Mr. O fit right in

BINGO!

The thing that is funny is that neither of these tools know how bad they are. This jackhole comes onto a UConn board to make snide comments about Oriakhi and the end of the UConn program and he thinks he is just "bantering". When I made comments on their board about them being obsessed with UConn they banned me. This thread is a prime example of their obsession:

http://umasshoops.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=10227

They are still adding to it with comments about how, again, THIS TIME, it really is the end of the UConn program. They are in complete denial that we are now one of the elite programs in the country. They still think we are like them. Sorry, but we are more like UNC than Uass.

Chiming in real quick to clarify that construction has not begun and probably won't begin for a little while seeing as how memorial field has not been touched. Also, while I love the idea of a brand new practice facility for the players, I'm really tired of UConn doing construction literally year-round. First they were doing the entire road in between the infirmary/engineering building and Wood Hall/ Gentry (while fixing up the facade of Wood), then they spent the better part of my sophomore year replacing the water main or something in North (of course while I was living there), then they built/are finishing building these two giant buildings in the middle of campus, they're still building an addition to the nursing school, they're extending the dining hall in McMahon, they just finished a two or three-year project on the horticulture building, and it looks like they're about to start fixing up the entire facade of Beach Hall. Oh and let's not forget the entire Storrs Town Center or whatever they're calling it that they're building next to Buckley, complete with a hideous 5+ story parking garage. I don't think I've spent a single day on campus without seeing mounds of rubble and/or hearing the beeping of trucks in my college career.

Not all of us are Mass holes, like Huskymoron minus the "M". I can't believe he continues to play that obsession card with that rediculous profile avatar.

4th comment: "awesome investigative reporting by yahoo sports. i am very impressed."

then later: "knowing the NCAA, UConn would skate while Quinnipiac gets placed on probation"

seriously have these people been comatose for the past couple years? I couldn't go on after that second quote. That thread goes far beyond simple pathetic hating (which at least can be condoned), it's just incredible ignorance.

That particular thread was only 12 pages. They also had a 50+ page hate thread. They were thrilled that Wetzel broke the story. Sometimes I think Clothy is actually Wetzel!!!
Anyhow, like Red Sox fans who spend almost as much time hating the Yankees as they do rooting for their own team, UMess fans (who probably are also Sox fans too) root against UConn almost as much as they do rooting for their team.
All one needs to say to UMess fans is UConn has beaten them 29 of the last 30 games we've played. And, UMass hasn't qualifyed for the NCAA's in 16 years. That's all one needs to say. They have no rebuttal except to hope we get reduced to their level.

WTF.

OUR campus ... of the school we bleed for ... is improving in many ways. The State AND Third Party owners ARE spending lots of millions on OUR school. YOU DON'T LIKE THAT? Why? Because you don't like noise or you don't like to walk your Birkenstocks through mud? That Storrs Center is $300m going into a REAL place. No more no choices but a Taco truck or Grinder wagon. I don't get this. For once, OUR school has moved into being a University Village.

Yeah sure, the moron linked you to a thread about Uconn that is over 3 years old. Since that thread has been added to with all your off court issues which can only mean one thing. The Uconn mens basketball program has given, not just us, but the media and fans of other programs alot to write about. And I'm talking about NCs.

Actually, that thread is burried under threads regarding recruiting, conference realignment, scheduling and alumnus. Of course the moron knows exactly where it is cause he monitors it every day for new content and then barks about it over here. There is alot more to that forum than what moron linked you to. And if you guys were to monitor his activity here, bet you would find he talks alot more about Calipari, Kentucky and Umass than he does about Uconn. He is on every article about John Calipari like white on rice. He is a moron who posted under about 4 differant names on that board because he felt he needed some support from his aliases. Mike finally banned him. Talk about obsession.

I still can't read a UMass poster without recalling Coach Cal's #1 Butt-Boy Ron Chimelis writing that UMass was now in position to "dictate terms". A bad season for UConn is still an all-time great season for UMass.

You sound like such a little child. You guys can't stand to have a mirror held up to your faces. Yonick is dead on that, like Sox fans, UMess fans spend more time hating on UConn than they do rooting for their own team. You guys are obsessed and Mikey didn't like hearing about. Even some of your own fans are sick of hearing about UConn. Go ahead and count up my postings on Calipari and UConn, champ. You have no life so you might as well do that. And whatever my obsession level might be with the squid, it doesn't change the fact that the vast majority of Uass fans are obsessed with UConn and, in particular, Calhoun. As such, I will keep my Avatar until Calipari finally leaves for the NBA and no longer has an impact on UConn and college basketball in general. I love that it pisses you off so much.

And these idiots think it was Calhoun that was an a toward umess!!! Calhoun was at UConn before the squid was spreading his slime all over Amherst. During that period, Calhoun had no issue with uass. It was Calipari that came into the picture and started being a . Calhoun gets along quite well with many of the top coaches in college basketball who have beaten him many times. (Boeheim and Coach K. to name two off my head) Calhoun didn't attack the squid and umess because "they became good". He attacked because he was being instigated by a little punk. The squid turned a rivalry into a blood war. Like the south and the Civil War, umass fans are still fighting this war with Calhoun and UConn. They don't like it when you point that out to them. I have nothing against UMass, their coach, their players or their state. It is the fans and their inability to let go of the hate planted in their heads by the squid that I find sad. Yep, I have an issue with Calipari for what he did to the rivalry and what he continues to do to college basketball.

The Squid destroyed UMass sports. Because of him, they lost any unique identity they may have had. UMass fans don't look at their program as a seperate entity anymore, they see it solely in terms of how it compares to UConn. UConn sports rule their world.

I only have one pair of Birkenstocks, what do you want from me?

I guess sometimes I feel like I'm not on a college campus when I can't go anywhere without seeing dug up earth and trucks and metal everywhere

The Squid pulled a minor miracle off in Amherst by giving these fans 4-5 years like they have never seen, nor will ever see again. But, with the Squid's departure (many say forced departure) UMess hasn't been able to get it done. They look at us and see 3 NC's, 4 FF's and numerous E-8's since the Squid's departure. Last year Clothy inferred that someone at UConn dropped a dime on UMass regarding Camby's $135,000 diamond necklas etc. In reality, Camby had intimated to a Hartford "agent" from his "hood" that he and another sleezebag . agent from Woolcott CT would be his agents. When it was time to pick the agent, Camby went with a big time pro. The local Hartford agent wannabe blew the whistle on Marcus. This included clothing, jewlry, and hookers in the dorm rooms. This info was well reported at that time on the front page of the Courant.
I do believe both agents did time over their dealings. UMess had their FF vacated and the Squid was lucky Pitino turned the Nets job down otherwise he eventually would've been fired.
Bottom line is they haven't been to the big dance in 16 years. They have gone through at least 4 coaches since the squid. But, they sit back and wish a similiar fate for us, as them.
It ain't happening. But, if my team lost to a rival 29 of the past 30 times, and that former rival (a true rival can win many of these games) has a fan coming over here to torment (and you are trying to torment, CLOTHBREATH) well, that fan ends up looking like a true Mass hole. Nothing more, nothing less.

My suggestion to you, babysheep, is to get an off campus place. I went in with 3-4 other students and rented a place on Coventry lake my final 2 years there. Really quiet there. Although, in my day, there was little construction going on there. The baseball & soccer fields were where the business adm. center is now, across the street from Gample.
Everything that I have heard, recently, was the demolition of the old Mem. stadium has begun. Am I wrong?

I drive by there every other day and I haven't seen anything. The field is untouched (still has lacrosse nets and recreation gear on the field) and there isn't any kind of perimeter set up to keep people out for when the destruction begins. No trucks or digging vehicles or whatever (they're all still working on the second classroom building and Storrs center I guess) I bet they'll start during the summer when there aren't 20k people on campus.

I have no idea:

1) Why people here take you seriously and waste their time and energy arguing with you
2) How you haven't been banned yet. You aren't even a good troll.

Uconn may be banned from the 2013 tournament but they still have a better shot at winning it than Umass does.
