of course. i don't think that's what Hurley's doing. he's sending messages to the NCAA and to his kids. but do you see him actually ducking any game? i don't.

I agree we should be playing games, games aren’t a given in the future this year, even a loss is something we can learn from. Let’s play, we can compete with anyone on talent/athleticism alone imo.

That’s very disappointing to hear about Florida playing Army on Wednesday, was really hoping that was going to be us. Really hoping Dan Hurley schedules a couple games prior to NC state....

Jay Wright released a statement basically saying that he’ll play anyone at Mohegan if they’re willing to come, I heard he’s been playing high stakes poker there every night. Such a badass move. We’re 30 minutes from there we can definitely find an opponent. Hurley doesn’t trust his kids, he obviously thinks they need significantly more work.
 
Couldn't they just do USC/BYU Tuesday, USC/BYU loser vs UConn Wednesday, and then USC/BYU winner vs UConn Thursday?

Play anyone that is willing to step in and play us. If we need work so be it but if we are that far behind our future Big East competition coaching during timeouts in games is a great way to learn under fire. We should be playing 3 games this upcoming week.

Everyone is literally doing the best they can in the middle of a pandemic, how could anyone have an issue with this? I give a ton of credit to everyone at Mohegan and all the teams for doing everything they possibly can to get games played! Crazy takes on here..

I am pointing out how crazy it is to see a D1 basketball program schedule like this. You appear to be agreeing with me, but then say I have a crazy take. R.I.F.

You referred to this as shenanigans, which I 100% don’t agree with, because I interpret that as being a negative/bad thing.
 
Truly hope Dan Hurley isn’t turning down opps to play, and I doubt it. He doesn’t strike me like the type of guy - might have been using quotes to motivate his guys to man up

Edit: I did a quick scan of the standings, and going into today, there are about 100 D1 teams that have not played a game yet. We have just got to play when we can play.

Well, this is the same guy that told the BE not to put his squad in the Gavitt Games or the B12 Challenge because he wanted to get them ready for the BE, so something is obviously up with his thought process for this year. I have no idea what to read into it, but it’s been going on for a bit.

I'd be shocked if we can't find an opponent when teams from across the country are flying into our backyard to play. Be very disappointed as I'm sure guys who've had limited playing time would love to see the court if our front line guys need more practice. Nothing is guaranteed this year except opportunities taken or missed.

It may be ugly, but they should play against tough competition as soon as possible. This team is young and needs the experience before Big East play.

Much better competition in BE than AAC.
