That seems very silly to say considering that team from the Big East is her alma mater and quite routinely beats SEC teams and is coming off their 12th national title.

She makes more money there, and probably wants her own legacy. In 4 years, will the BE exist? Pretty sure the SEC will be the last to crumble.

You look at it as she’s going to the Big East, I look at it as she’d be going to UConn. It’s not like if the Big East doesn’t exist UConn basketball all goes away. Plus no one has any idea monetarily what she may or may not be offered if she ever chooses to leave, and no idea what she wants in terms of a legacy.

Anyway, Geno isn’t going anywhere for the immediate future so we continue to be in great hands,

IMHO Shea won't be going anywhere for a long while!
She has rebuilt Vandy and gotten everything she wanted from the administration!
Taking UConn when Geno & CD leave is a thankless job.
You'll be constantly compared to a "GOAT"!
I would liker Shea or Carla to take the UConn job but will understand if they didn't!
Look at other great coaches retiring and how their replacement fared!
