IIRC, there are a few VH fans on the board. One of the Record Store Day offerings tomorrow I was curious about is "Van Halen Live in New Haven". Was that show considered to be a particular high-water mark for the band? Or is a representitve show from that era chose because Haven and Halen sound similar?

Eddie Van Halen's Eruption solo at New Haven Coliseum is considered maybe the best and most famous guitar solo ever.
 
For me when considering Van Hagar, 5150 and this tour was more Pop than rock. I much more prefer OU812 which to me is more blues-rock. I got to see them on this album's tour and they were fantastic. I prefer DLR though.

On a related note, I just saw the YouTube video of DLR with Teddy Swims at Coachella. If you are a fan don't watch it. God awful...
