I was looking at the box score of this game. MSST took 29 more fga than Vanderbilt. What the..? Turns out that Vandy was 33/42 from the free throw line. Against us they were 2-5. I know what you're thinking--yes, Pete Maravich would have made all 42 free throws. I guess we're a better team than I thought.

42 free throws? How much of that was about the physicality of the game, and how much was about some officials having a bad day?

Nevertheless, I expected that first Miss. St. loss to come sooner or later. It barely even feels like an upset to me.

Playing at Vandy is diffrent. Because of the way the gym is set up. I don't like the benches on the baseline.
