That's our Tiff!
The Golden State Valkyries lost to the LA Sparks in their first-ever game, but Tiffany Hayes emerged as their star. The 5’10 guard had 19 points, nine rebounds, one assist, one steal, and one block in 30 minutes of action.
Not until we've counted the number of times she's hit the floor. Any less than 10 and it's not really her. That's our Tiff!
Hayes had a great game. However LA doesn't really provide a measure of defensive competence. When Golden State plays the Lynx we will have a better gauge of how brightly Tiffany shines on both sides of the court.

Nykesha Sales comes to mind. She was assigned to the Orlando Miracle during an expansion draft in in 1999. The Miracle eventually became the Sun.Hayes had a great game. Wondering about the star on expansion team. Trying to think of a list of stars on previous expansion teams both in the W and the NBA
