L'ville getting beaten early in the 2nd quarter 28-21... Regan Magarity having a nice game so far for Va Tech. She's from Sweden - great kid - and there was some mutual interest back in the day when she was getting recruited...

Typical L'Ville. They are such a second half team against lesser competition. Takes them a while to wake up it seems.

VA Tech 7-9 from beyond the arc, L'ville 1-10. That should change in the 2nd half as should the margin and who's winning...

This could be a "Karma" game for VT, they were down big yesterday to Syracuse and came storming back in the 4th quarter, I likely see it that way today...

This is how L'Ville rolls. Wake up in the 3rd. Can't do that with the real good teams like they discovered with us. LOL

L'ville is more than Durr. 3 players in double figures and Durr is not one of them...

Not for lack of trying with her 18 shots.

Hines-Allen was, in fact, ACC POY 2 years ago. So I don't know how anyone could think Louisville is just Durr.

With 1 minute remaining in the game, another slow review and the call was reversed, so that begs the question, how many questionable calls that can't be reviewed are the wrong call?????

Oh the refs are helping to prevent the upset...

Virginia Tech cut the lead to 3 and appear to have forced an Louisville turnover to get the ball back. It was ruled Louisville's ball after a lengthy review.

VT then did a horrible job of defending a Durr/Hines-Allen pick and roll, leaving Durr an easy 12-footer. Next possession, Hines-Allen gets a steal to seal it. Louisville survives.

Hines-Allen stepped up big with 21 pts and 10 reb to make up for a well below par effort by Durr.

Same reason people feel SC is only Wilson, or tOSU is only Mitchell, or Oregon is only Ionescu, etc. Those "stars" on those teams are often the only player who ever gets discussed...

After their come-from-behind upset win over Syracuse, Virginia Tech might have stolen an at-large bid with a monumental upset over Louisville. Oh well.

Tulane really had a good player get away from them in Taylor Emery, who transferred to a junior college in Florida for her sophomore year and now made Second Team All-ACC in her junior year at VaTech. She had 27 today against Louisville and 28 in the win over Syracuse.

VPI doesnt have any seniors... and they played down the stretch without Chanette Hicks..... their starting PG..... a quality player. They have a good group of guards with Emery, Camp, and #2..... and assuming Hicks returns next season..... they should challenge for a top 7 finish next season.
