Anyone have any experience w this? I hear that it works, but maybe not. Airflow past the lamp is too fast - time of mold / bacteria / virus particle within effective range is too short to be useful. Also O2 (oxygen) is broken down by UV to re-combine as O3 (Ozone) which is poisonous.

Typical cost to install unit is ~$750. But can buy a lamp for $50, and drill hole in the air intake yourself to install.

UV LEDs also available, but haven't found one yet.

I work in the biz and bought my parents a Reme halo LED built by RGF.

These companies will tell you that you're violating the warranty on your air conditioner and you are by installing yourself but I would still install it myself. The markup on these products are insane. It's how HVAC companies make money and the technician gets paid out also every time he sells you an accessory by the manufacturer and probably his company it's all fluffed up pricing. That being said they work UV lights will sometimes destroy the inside of your air handler just like sunlight.
